Great place to chill!Posted Mar 20, 2015
Very remote setting, but with a car you are only a short drive from many of Barbados's fun tourist attractions. Santosha is nicely equipped for everything you need. The Round House restaurant is only 10 mins drive from here and is a definite must. Enjoy!

Oasis of peacePosted Mar 13, 2015
i needed to come apart from work and family lest I "came apart"! Santosha provided the quiet oasis of rest I needed. When needs to get some food walked to the nearby store and even got some great swordfish steak and chips on the way. I am planning to go back with the whole family soon... ;-)

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger LagePosted Feb 15, 2015

Nice hotel but a bit too remotePosted Feb 9, 2015
This is a lovely place with a gorgeous view but it is not that easy to access and get around. There are buses but to get to the south - to the nice beaches - requires you to go around the whole island (have to go to Speightstown and down through Holetown). You can rent a car but be warned, the roads are quite narrow and windy and it can be quite nerve racking driving, especially if you're not use to driving on the left side of the road. This would be a preferable place if there were swimming beaches nearby - everything in the east coast is too wavey and dangerous. Also, the room was nice and well cleaned but if you're planning on doing any cooking I'd suggest you tie up the garbage bag before you go to bed (as it is an open top and is stowed in the under counter cupboard) as we had to kill a couple of roaches trying to get into the garbage. This being said the north east is quite spectaclar with the hills and mountains, so if you're looking for an adventure or to explore this isnt a bad home base. There are some neat areas to drive through (and I would recommend a car or at least be prepared to cab around) and everyone is extremely friendly and will help you out if you're lost. Nice place if you're looking to really get away and aren't looking to hang out at the beach much, but if you want to have a lot of lazy days at the beach or see the south I'd suggest somewhere closer to the st Lawrence gap, or even Holetown.

Mal was anderesPosted Jan 19, 2015

Lovely Out of the Way SpotPosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: I loved the quiet, out of the way location, the pool & patio, the beautiful bathroom, the wooden window covers, and the good TV and internet reception
Cons: Water pressure in shower was weak. I washed my hair in the kitchen sink. Beds felt hard, could have used a mattress pad. Slept ok though!
Location: walked the Atlantic coast, visited flower cave
Santosha is far from the crowded areas on the west or south coast of Barbados and makes for a very relaxing few days in Barbados. The pool and patio areas are very pleasant. Most afternoon I walked on the beach and saw no one else! It is quite windy in this section of the island which keeps the temperatures moderate and bugs non-existant. The island is small enough that we had dinner in Speightstown and Holetown. The drive was easy, about 15-20 minutes. I recommend renting a car unless you plan to cook in for most meals. There is a bus stop nearby if you prefer that adventure. If you cook in, be sure to take advantage of the pre-buy of groceries Joanne offers because the small market up the street has almost nothing in it.

Beautiful and remotePosted Aug 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Fantastic self catering apartments in the beautiful remote east coast of Barbados. Excellent size, great kitchen and facilities and very helpful staff. Lovely pool. Just a little bit too far away from the restaurants and bathing beaches for us.
