fun walk down memory lane

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: addressed above
Cons: add golf channel
Location: diverse dining options a walk away, otherwise we did not site see as we were traveling cross-country
Only stayed here twice in last couple of years, but enjoyed this restored 50's era motel very much. Reminds me of traveling as a child. Used the pool; very refreshing. Walked around the corner to good breakfast place and a casino with a decent dinner menu. Proprietors of hotel are very friendly; have deep roots in Winnemucca. Motel is well maintained, with fresh paint inside and out and very clean rooms. Like the fact that bathroom is segregated from sleeping area; helps the early riser. Don't come this way often, but would always try to stay here.

Much better than it appears!

Cons: The only improvements that I could recommend would be a warmer pool (I like bath water warm) and breakfast.
Location: We went to the nearby Subway for a breakfast sandwich, enjoyed the Winner's Casino and had a great Basque dinner at the Martin Hotel.
The Town House Motel is an older motel just off the main street in Winnemucca. Check-in was very easy and we were assigned a room next to the pool. When we went into the room I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. There was a small refrigerator in the room and a coffee pot. The room had clearly been refurbished and updated. The television was older but it played well, there was free WiFi internet and lots of places to plug in electronics. They gave us a brochure with restaurants that had their favorites starred. We tried the recommended Basque restaurant (the Martin Hotel) and it was great. The bed was comfortable.

Motel is great. Pool refreshing. Checkout the Martin Hotel for dinner and The Griddle for breakfast.

Nice hotel for one night stay

Posted Jun 26, 2014
On the road from California to Utah and needed a room for the night. Dated decor did not detract from comfort. Only issue was the heater was off for the season and it was a cold night. Staff willingly turned iton for me.

This motel was quaint and clean.

Pros: Close in town and clean.
Cons: Perhaps the sheets could have been a tad bit softer.
Location: We just stopped for over night but we suggest all to try The Griddle for breakfast; homey, clean, and good solid food.
We appreciated the owner's knowledge of the history of this motel, and found her suggestions of eating places right on.

Old, strip motel. Don't let outside fool you.
