Comfortable and nicely updated

Posted Aug 3, 2015
The rooms are comfortable, great option of a rooftop pool and indoor pool. We did wonder if our thermostat wasn't working properly, was turned all the way down and yet the room was quite warm overnight but not unbearable. Would definitely come again!

Great weekend visit.

Posted Aug 1, 2015
We came in for a concert and had a great stay. This hotel is in a great location. Easy walking to the forks and downtown locations. Taxis are available if you want to go further. The staff was excellent. We asked for a good place to have supper and were given many choices and ended up at Infernos, one of the top restaurants in Winnipeg, and had one of the best meals ever!!! Will definitely come back.

Beautiful hotel minutes away from downtown

Posted Jul 31, 2015
We stayed at the Delta Winnipeg for three days as we were in town for a concert and a mini vacation. This hotel is very close (one block away) to MTS Centre which is where the concert was located. Unfortunately the Skywalk out of the hotel was closed, but cityplace is directly across the street with Skywalk access if that is important for you. The Delta is a very beautiful hotel, with a business atmosphere but doesn't make you feel out of place if you are there for leisure. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even brought us chairs for our patio late one evening with no hesitations or problems. The two pools is very convenient but the inside one was closed while we were there. I couldn't tell if they had it closed because it was summer and the rooftop pool was open, or if something else was going on. The parking around the hotel on the street is very limited, but they have a spacious car park right underneath. I never had problems finding a spot very close to the elevator. It is $18 a night for self parking, but it is worth it for the convenience. There is a lounge and restaurant right in the hotel, and another right beside. There is no free continental breakfast, and although the breakfasts are delicious, they are a tad pricey. Overall there were tiny things that would have been nice to know prior (example Skywalk access being closed directly from the hotel) but it was a wonderful place to stay.

Great hotel downtown, close to attractions

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Close to amenities downtown, pools (outdoor and indoor, though indoor pool was under renovations), cleanliness, underground parking, pleasant staff.
Cons: Offer complimentary continental breakfast and/or healthy snacks during the day.
Location: Downtown location in close proximity to restaurants, shopping, MTS Centre and the Forks.
As a family of four (young kids), stayed at hotel for three nights while in Winnipeg to visit the zoo and the Forks and to attend a concert at Investors Group Field. Indoor pool was under renovations at the time, but thankfully the weather was nice and we enjoyed the outdoor pool. Though an extra expense, the underground parking was easy to use. Hotel was clean and staff were pleasant to deal with. Within short walking distance to shopping and the MTS Centre.

Clean, quiet and kid friendly

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Overall very happy with our stay. We were on the 15th floor and it was nice and quiet. Room was clean and the heated floors in the bathroom a very nice touch! The indoor pool was closed for renos which would have been nice to know ahead of time but we had hot weather the duration of our stay so the outdoor pool was a nice alternative. Travelling with kids I would have liked to have a mini fridge in our room but otherwise Overall very happy with this hotel.

Inconvenient

Posted Jul 26, 2015
We had many inconveniences when staying at this hotel. To begin, there was no parking in front of the hotel to check in; had a difficult time understanding the front desk clerk when we checked in; poor signage in the parkade (myself and 2 children with all of our luggage got lost and ended up outside the parkade on a side street?); the indoor pool and hot tub were closed (did not find this out until we arrived); the outdoor pool did not have any tables and very few chairs (I had to sit on the ground because all the chairs were taken); I had to ask another patron where the pool towels were to find out they were in another room on a different level. I will not stay again.

We found the hotel to be centrally located

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Again, the location, accommodation and staff were great
Cons: The indoor pool was being remodeed, thus was unavailable, however the weather cooperated so the outdoor pool was perfect
Location: We went to the zoo to see Hudson and Humphrey. (The two polar bears that had been transferred from Toronto. We had seen them there as cubs).
The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The location was within a couple of blocks from transportation. The Spirit bus was available for free transportation around town and to the Forks. Great accommodations.

Nice hotel right beside convention center

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Loved the balcony and bedding!
Cons: The parking is not great and after all the trouble of having to move my car because they were cleaning it, I still had to pay 37.00 :(
Location: right next door to convention center, you can walk there!
The Delta is right beside convention center which is why I booked it. The rooms are wonderful!! The beds are so comfortable and pillows are so great I bought 2 from store downstairs :) I love that it had a balcony to go out on to and look around and get fresh air :)

Great place, friendly people, and comfortable. We had a great view of downtown Winnipeg! The US women's national soccer team and Australian teams happen to be there when we were there so it was neat seeing celebrities. The greatest part of our stay though was Allen the bartender, he was great!
