“great room and service”
We loved the room. We were close to the city center and the service was great.
“Great deal”
Great deal, Wow a wonderful stay, staff friendly and helpful. The best was the man that took our luggage to the room didn't even except a tip. That was a highlight, and made our trip. The room was clean and spacious. Not the dirty smelly motel type room. Lovely, well stocked kitchen for meal prep. Was so nice. Down covers and robes with bathroom amenities. Just like a spa. Excellent hotel. Central heating cool at times, but they brought up heaters immediately when notified. The restaurant was good food, convenient, and well priced great service. We ate there every morning meeting our friends. Easy to go the many attractions
“Absolutely Wonderful!”
Wonderful hotel, staff, and location. Highly recommend.
“I'm Staying Here Again - Soon”
This was my second trip to Winnipeg. The last time I stayed at a national chain hotel and was not impressed. I looked around and decided to give this hotel a try. I'm glad I did. It was much more like getting my own apartment than a hotel room. Everything from the bathroom, bedroom, living room with the big screen TV to the kitchen appeared to be brand new. I can't imagine finding a nicer place to stay - especially at this price. The "urban diner" was okay. There' a Keg restaraunt a short 1 block walk away that is one of my favorites. I have a project that will require me to stay in Winnipeg for a few week. I know where I'll be staying!
“Highly recommended”
I don't have extravagant needs, but this felt like a bit of luxury. King size bes, comfy pillows, nice view (we even saw fireworks)Unfortunately we couldn't make use of the lovely kitchenette adequately stocked with the basic requirements needed for the creation of meals for 2. Helpful and cheery desk staff.
“Very Nice and Convenient”
I stayed at this hotel for business purposes and I couldn't have made a better choice. Great service and the rooms was huge. I suggest spending the extra charge and getting the Luxury type room. Also eat at the Keg steakhouse around the corner too.
“Excellent Experience”
When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly staff and also informed of an upgrade to our room. The room was beautiful and more than we could have imagined. We would stay here again and also recommend this hotel to any traveler.
“Loved It!”
We had a corner suite, there was a full kitchen so we could make frozen pizza and there were even pots and pans so we had homemade meals several of the nights we were there. It seemed like home immediately and the front desk and cleaning ladies were extremely nice.
“Happy stay and friendly staffs”
The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The suite was very spacious and clean. The location was also convenience.
“Nice Hotel”
The Place Louis Riel Hotel in and of itself was very nice, and the service was was extremely customer-service oriented. The room was more than adequate and impeccably clean. It had all the amenities that we needed and appeared to have been recently upgraded. It was exactly as we expected based on the Expedia listing. The only downfall of the hotel was that being in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, there are many down-trodden and what would appear to be homeless people in the area. They would hang outside the hotel entrance, come in to the hotel and sit in the lobby, and surf the Internet at the guest computer. The weather was quite cool, so I understand it would be difficult to send them out into cold, but it did make for an unusual experience. I can't say I have ever stayed in a hotel with this situation. Other than that, I would highly recommend the hotel.
