“Winona State Graduate's Family”

Very convenient to the State University, shopping and eating. Excellent Perkins restuarant attached to hotel. Good food. Nice large very warm pool!! Small hot tub though but nice.

Staff was extremely friendly when checking in and out. Also very helpful when checking in two separate rooms at different times.

“Bad and Good”

The hotel needs to be remodeled. It stinks, the carpet is gross, the wallpaper is peeling and the paint is chipping. The pool, however, was great! The service was great and they gave us cash for breakfast.

“Good Night's sleep”

I have difficulty with climbing stairs and all the rooms with 2 queen beds were on the second floor and there is no elevator. I think the elevator issue needs to be fixed. Very close to the highway and attached to Perkins Restaurant so it was easy to find food after a long day.

“Not impressed”

The air conditioning was out in the main part of the hotel when we arrived. The carpet in out room was very damp. The door to exit the hotel in case of a fire was locked occasionally. The complimentary breakfast at Perkins was nice as was the free drink in the bar.

“Bad experience.”

They advertised a pool and hot tub neither one was in working order. The carpet in our room looked like a painter's drop cloth. Only one ice machine worked in the entire building. To top it all off they accused me of taking a pillow from the room and charged me $45.00. After some livly conversation and a few phone calls they found the pillow and returned my $45.00. No apology for implying I was a thief. This place has a long way to go.

“Don't stay here!”

This hotel, was dirty, the tub didn't drain during the shower and looked like the caulk in the bathroom was 80 yrs old and all they do is keep recaulking over it. I didn't dare go barefoot on the filthy carpet. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and ancient as well as the decor.. Trust me stay in your car if you have to but not here.

“Management wasn't managing”

Willing to give people the benefit of the doubt however arrived at 9:30 p.m. to find the room not made yet. Took over an hour to get beds changed and mirrors etc still dirty. Notice after a couple min. that the AC was blowing warm arm. Called and the mantainence man couldn't get the unit going and so brought us a dirty fan -sweated all night - little sleep as it was over 90 degrees outside. Got up at 1:00 a.m. to use the hotel computer and it was broken. Went to swim after my a.m. run and was total the pool didn't open until 9:00 even though 2 signs poolside said 8:00 a.m. Perkins restraunt attached and we received a free breakfast as part of the room stay. Food and service were excellent.

“Filthy Hotel”

The hotel did not have the confirmed room available so they put us in a room over the boiler. The room was unbearably hot and the boiler went off every fifteen minutes all night long. The carpet was filthy and the hotel in general disarray. I travel all over this country and this was the worst experience I have ever had.
