Decent hotel

The hotel was decent. Our bathroom was a bit grimy but other than that it was an alright hotel.

Do not stay here!!

When we arrived we noticed our bathroom floor was dirty! I laid down towels so we didn't have to walk on it. The overall room and hotel were run down. It looked like they were trying to make it a little better, but not successfully. Our toilet was loose on the floor. I bumped it and it literally lifted off the floor. An hour later the sewer smells were so bad we couldn't stay in it. We were given a different room in no better condition, and not any more clean. The breakfast was so so. We were not offered a refund, just told "that sometimes happens", from the hotel staff. While eating breakfast in the morning we heard multiple people complaining as they were checking out. One demanding a refund, another saying they would never stay there again!

Although we are an older property, we take pride and care to assure that our facilities are well maintained. We are constantly researching ways we can modernize and upgrade our facilities. Trouble with check-in

Booked online with Hotel.com but check-in clerk couldn't find the reservation and charged personal credit card for room. When the hotel.com reservation was found, clerk refused to cancel the personal card transaction and hotel.com had to resolve the issue the next morning. Hotel.com handled it great and all problems were resolved when they contacted the hotel.

It was not an unwillingness on the part of our front desk associate, but a clerical error on her part that resulted in this. She did indeed intend on cancelling the on-house made reservation and utilizing your Hotels.com reservation, but cancelled the wrong one inadvertently. I am very glad our operations supervisor was able to communicate with Hotels.com the following morning and resolve the situation by having them refund your reservation through Hotels.com. If you find yourself back in the Winslow area in the future, we would appreciate you staying with us again.

Nice hotel

Very friendly staff and owner. Spacious and clean rooms. Bedspreads a little outdated. Fabulous indoor pool. Convenient attached restaurant with good menu.

Never again

Cons: When I arrived a gentleman was taking an incident report in the lobby. I felt that should be handled more discreetly. We never met management

I wasn't going to respond to this survey but decided that sharing my experience may forewarn the next person. I booked the hotel via expedia in route. I got my confirmation for the room and amenities I used in my search and paid in full using the site. Upon arrival (after 1000 mile journey). I find my reservation was changed and the blame game began. Since, I had a dog, I could not get the room is paid for and as it was the hotel over booked the king size room. Much to my frustration being road weary and it being late in the evening, I was told " it was taken care of" and given keys to a room (queen) that I did not want nor paid for. Passive- aggressive behavior, calling of unseen management, I decided to contact Expedia in hopes they would help resolve this issue . As I watch Black ANTS crawling up the wall of the hotel room, Expedia's customer service at first attempt, dropped my call as I asked to speak with a supervisor, second attempt- I was forwarded to a dept that had nothing to do with customer complains and my personal favorite, on the third attempt for resolution - was told I was being forwarded to someone who could help find a different hotel. I got a name (which the young girl giggled when asked. I doubt it was the correct one), the phone number in case my call was dropped and immediately sent back to the main menu. I called the number given and it was a customer survey for a free vacation. Simply put, we left the hotel

Thank you for taking the time to post a comment in regards to this incident. Please allow me to address a few points: 1) Our pet-friendly rooms are only available with two queen beds in the rooms. To provide the best possible custore service and clean rooms to our guests that do not have pets travelling with them, we set aside certain designated roomd for pets. There are times we do make exceptions and place guests in a room taht we do not have set aside for pets, but during your stay we were unable to do so as we were fully booked. 2) Our front desk associate did indeed speak to management, who did attempt to find a solution to this issue, but, unfortunately, there was none other than what was presented. 3) Commercial pest control is done monthly at our property, and spot pest control is done as needed. Our diligent housekeeping staff would have noticed such an infestation and reported it immediately. We're very sorry we were unable to accomodate your stay.

Just an over-night

Pros: Accomodating, friendly staff who absolutely do their best.
Cons: The ventilation in the room was poor. The air conditioner was on all night, clamorous. We had to use it however to drown out the noise from the poo
Location: If you want to boat or kayak, or just want a nice visit, I highly recommend Clear Creek a short drive south of Winslow on 87,then east on 99.
The desk staff were gracious, informative and accomodating. The wait staff in the restaurant were very friendly and energized. For Winslow, not a bad stay.

Good stay, nice rooms and breakfast. It was really hot in the hallways and one of the rooms though. Best one in town.
