Not too pricy. Was easy to get to.

As far as fulfilling a need it did that well. We enjoyed the reason for our trip and would stay there again if need arises.

I do apologize that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. I do wish you had made your concerns known at the front desk. We would have done everything in our power to accommodate you. Please try us again in the future.

Lesson Learned

Posted Nov 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
This Thanksgiving trip was a last-minute decision, leaving me (of course) little choice in accommodations. As this is a Days Inn, I was not expecting luxury. I was, however, expecting a non-smoking room not to smell of cigarettes. I also expected a comfortable bed. On both counts I was disappointed. On a more positive note, staff were friendly and the WiFi was strong and reliable. (The latter is most important to me, for business purposes.) To my good fortune, most of my time in Winston-Salem was spent with family and friends, away from the hotel. Lesson learned, or rather reinforced: Book early on holidays.

Close to the hospital

Pros: It was in the central part of Winston Salem and close to everywhere I needed to go, reasonably priced.
Cons: I believe the beds are long overdue to be replaced, along with the linens. The air conditioner units could do with a thorough cleaning, or replacement
Location: Everything I needed was within reasonable distance was the only reason why I chose this place.
When I first got there, the staff seemed to be nice, they were prompt at the desk and polite and friendly. They helped me a lot with switching to a different room, which was wonderful, UNTIL i got into the room. The room looked like and smelled like last weeks laundry. The bed was extremely low to the ground, almost like trying to sleep at the level of a toilet. There was no box spring, just a wooden slat and a mattress on top of it. I think sleeping on the ground would have been more comfortable, I woke up feeling like I had been kicked by a mule. The only positive thing i can say about the bed is that is was a king sized bed and my feet didn't hang over the end, although that may have been a more comfortable experience. The absolute worst bed I have ever slept on, period! After my first nights sleep when I went to the front desk I had to wait several minutes for someone to even come to the front desk, far from the timeliness when I checked in.

You Get What You Pay For.

I can't complain because, with the comparatively low price, I didn't expect much - so I wasn't disappointed. Housekeeping kept the room clean. I didn't see any pests. They supplied soap, shampoo, coffee, tea, and condiments. I had a queen sized bed, a desk, an iron, a television set, alarm clock, and coffee pot. It was difficult to pull out of the parking lot at times, but it was an alright stay.
