“Good value.”

Upscale no-frills hotel. Room was nice, new TV, quick Internet, soft bed and free breakfast. Worked for me.

“this was a great value”

i travel and stay in hotels twice a month or so and i think this hotel is a great value, very clean, the people were very helpfull and the location is ideal for travelers needing easy i40 access and close to many nice resturants. i am planning my next visit today.

hanes mall (a very large mall), target, costco, lowes, ross etc.

Dining

next door to the village tavern (a very nice upscale resturant). also seafood, olive garden, and many fast foods like mcdonalds, very close by.

“Not great”

Went for WFU Parents' Weekend so almost everything else was booked. Inexpensive. Location is convenient, near stores and restaurants, including the second Village Tavern. Hotel is new. Room was clean and comfortable. Seriously understaffed. One of the elevators was out of service. Could hear barking dogs on one of the floors as it's a pet friendly hotel. Felt safe. Didn't get bed bugs.

“Location Was Good”

and that was about the only plus; otherwise, I wouldn't have chosen this hotel except that my favorites in the area were already booked up. Room had slight smoking oder + ashtray (asked for non-smoking room), sink stopper was stuck in sink (finally got it to open), and the bed was not the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Not to mention the walls were "paper thin" so could hear neighbors on both sides. Hotel looked to be filled to capacity but parking lot needs attention. There was an abandoned freight trailer and a construction dumpster taking up several parking spaces. The person that parked next to me was so close I couldn't even get into my vehicle and had to wait for them to leave.

Area recommendations

This location was great (Hanes Mall Blvd.) so it was great shopping and only about 1/2 mile from I-40 for very easy access.

“Totally acceptable hotel”

This was a nice hotel, in a nice town. Some people said in other reviews they didn't feel their car was safe in the parking lot, but it was fine. I felt totally safe there. Very clean looking too.

“Good destination in Winston Salem NC”

The hotel staff was very courteous and efficient. The surroundings provide convenient and delicious food sources as well as shopping and sight-seeing opportunities. We were pleasantly surprised to find pet guests were welcome. Our room, while not immaculate, was acceptably sanitary.
