“Great Stay”
Complimentary breakfast, comfortable room and other conviences were outstanding.

Awesome area...right in the middle of the arts in downtown Winston! Lots of resturants..all in walking distance. Hotel was super clean and the people were very hardworking and polite.

Hotel was very busy, but they maintained their services very well. Front desk staff was always helpful and pleasant; the valet parking staff rose to the challenge of keeping everyone moving with minimal delays. The hotel restaurant located in the lobby was all set up to give me coffee to take back to the room...and their breakfast buffet was very substantial. The only drawback was the furniture in our room...it looked rather worn....but it was functional and comfortable.

I was initially assigned to a room which is next to the elevator. It was really noisy. I requested a change at 1:00am. They did change a room for me. The second one is great. But, I was puzzled that, if they had rooms available why did not they give the guests the quieter ones first? It is definitely a pricey one. If not for the first noisy room, I would give a much higher grade for it.

the hotel did not have the room i booked, there was no ice machine on our floor, and there were noises coming from the bathroom all night long.
“Winston Salem's Best Hotel”
The Marriott Downtown is a great hotel with wonderful staff. It is centrally located near everywhere you might want to go. The ajoining parking deck gives easy access to the hotel. If you are staying more than a few days, get the daily pass versus paying every time you leave the parking deck. It's cheaper that way.
“Great place for some R&R”
We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Winston Salem. All hotel staff were courteous and prompt. The only problem was the vending machines on our floor didn't work and there were no snack machines only soda machines and the hotel store didn't have much of a selection.
“Room never got cleaned!”
By 3:00pm room had not been cleaned. We called down and they said someone would be right up. By 5:00 still not cleaned. We went out for dinner and were told it WOULD be done when we got back but it was not. Out of 3 elevators only 1 worked and was very slow. Restaurant in hotel was great and overall hotel seemed clean. Very disappointed in the service though.
