Hotel staff very unprofessional.

Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: The professionalism of the staff. It should be shared with them about Expedia as a third party. We trust when booking that our request are met.
Location: There were nice restaurants.
Upon arrival 9/19/14 at approximately 8:15 p.m. the staff was very rude. We booked our rooms through Expedia, when we arrived we were told that our request could not be honored when that they were only responsible for getting a room. We showed our confirmation, the clerk called out her BOSS stating that he would take care of it and that we had a senior with some kind of needs. She called for the next person in line, who was a relative and stated that she felt her comment was very insensitive and insulting. The BOSS stated that when we book on Expedia all they have to guarantee is a room. We needed a pet friendly room and a room adjoining room for my elderly father. They gave stated that all they had was a handicapped equipped room and they weren't aware of the fact that we needed a pet friendly room. The rooms ended up being across the hall. My relative's room they was strong with a urine scent their room was changed. They asked for our phone numbers in case our pets barked if they called us we had to pick them up. After researching for a pet friendly hotel we picked this hotel because it was near the venue that we were attending.

Would not stay there again

The room was clean enough, but smelled horrible. The bed was the worst ever and we went an entire night without sleep. Checked out after the first night, and found another hotel for the second night of our stay in this area. I do not believe all rooms were as uncomfortable as ours, as we traveled with others and were able to compare, but the mattress quality in our room was completely unacceptable.

Lovely place to stay! Breakfast wa yummy, had turkey bacon and real bacon on complimentary breakfast

Convenient location!

We had a very nice two night stay at the hotel. We have family in the area, so it was very convenient for us. The staff was super-nice! Lots of smiles and good regional information. Breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express, but that was what we expected...OK! We'll be using this hotel again in December.

it is quite noisy. Right next to the HWY. After driving 500 miles you probably don't care. But otherwise I would pick something little farther from HWY. Also, even it said Non smoking rooms, in the hall it smells.
