Horrible experience! I used Hotels.com to book and pay for the room in advance. However, when we tried to check in close to midnight, the desk clerk had problems with the computer system. He was able to see that the room was already paid for, but he said needed a credit card to charge incidental items (like phone calls). I gave him a credit card which he ran and said the system "denied." There was credit available on this card! I told him this, but offered him 3 different debit cards (all with funds available). Each one of these were denied even though there was money available in each of the accounts. Finally, the desk clerk called his manager, who told him to check us in but disconnect our phone service so we could not make any incidental charges. When I returned home the next day, I checked my accounts online and four that over $1,000 in charges had been made by Residence Inn to the four cards I had given to the desk clerk. This amount does not include the prepaid amount to Hotels.com for the room. I worked for almost a day to get the bank problems corrected. I have requested to be give a credit to use at another Marriott ... but I am doubtful of any compensation for the trouble I have experienced due to Resident Inn system problems.

Everything was great... They even served evening snacks----my only complaint was the driveway was a bit inconvenient.

nice except ...Posted May 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
This place has a lot going for it - clean, comfortable, roomy, nice folks, good breakfast, safe, very convenient, pool and tennis, dog walk - except for the noise. We stayed on a ground floor. The air conditioner outside our window (next to the bed) whined frequently, the refrigerator ice machine clunked every now and again, the bathroom fan was loud, and worst of all, we could hear every step the folks upstairs made - and I think they danced the tango all night. It wasn't just footfalls - the ceiling creaked with each step. The place will soon undergo renovations, and I am sure most of the noise problems will disappear. I'll stay there again, but I'll bring a good pair of ear plugs.

great breakfastPosted Aug 20, 2011
Good location to Wake Forest University. Needed to take and settle my son in apartment and easy to travel with him and his brother. Large room, sleeper sofa, buffet full breakfast, "cottage" style, efficiency apartment layout worked great for us, and we saved a lot of money.

The only thing i was not happy about, is that the management has only the FOX cable news only, no MSNBC, which to me means they are Bias!!!!
