Pros: The history and charm are plentiful.
The Brookstown Inn is a historic, comfortable inn with loads of charm. The staff was helpful, the Innkeeper very friendly and Sally the cat was content in the courtyard.

Nice hotel in Winston-Salem

The staff was the best part of our stay. The rooms were pretty, with just a few cleaning issues. Great location.

The bed and TV cabinet,

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Other than what I mention above, all else was great. I have stayed there before and will stay again but not in room 158.
If I had been a little larger, I would not have been able to get between the bed and TV cabinet to get to the bathroom. The sofa was not good to sit on. Room 158, will not stay in it again unless changes are made.

Lovely Hotel

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: I liked staying in a historic building which is in a convenient location. Also free parking is simple.
Cons: The addition of a pool
Location: The location if excellent for those who like to be near attraction and for those who like to walk.
The hotel is charming and the rooms are very large. The staff was gracious and helpful. The free wine and cheese in the evening is a nice touch. The location is very convenient. It is next to the visitor's center and is in walking distance of restaurants and historic Salem.

Anniversary Celebration

Posted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
The stay at the Historic Brookstown Inn was for my wife and I's 26th anniversary. The Brookstown Inn is in a good location. It is very close to downtown and Old Salem. The room was clean and comfortable. The historic charm was incredible. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to others.

Okay inn.

Pros: The historic background of the inn.
Cons: Have a stool to help short people to climb the bed.
Location: Visited Old Salem for a short time because of the rain and also Reynolda House , recommended by one of the staff.
Not good, it rained all day! Inn is okay, staff not as friendly as The Grand Bohemian. I had to ask for regular coffee , container was empty at 7:30 am, the staff was not happy at all. There were no tongs to pick up the pastries, had to use my two fingers to pick up my Danish so I wouldn't contaminate the rest of the pastries. Door in the back was ajar with a little rock holding it , had to throw the rock so the person would not use it again ( it was one of the staff in the laundry who did it because when we were entering the building with our luggage she was complaining about the missing rock), bad for security of the guests!

Amazing

What a surprise to find such a unique Inn blocks from where my husbands graduation was held. I can't even think of any cons to state about this Inn. If you are anywhere in the vicinity just stay here. You won't regret it!!
