Fabulous, Clean, Comfortable Hotel at a GREAT pricPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Updated, CLEAN.
Cons: Free breakfast?
Location: I had to be in Winston-Salem the next morning and it was close.
I loved my stay at this hotel and wish I could have stayed longer. Everything was clean and updated (furniture, bedding, fixtures, decor). The room looked inviting and clean as soon as I stepped in the door. I think this is the fanciest hotel I've stayed in for the price. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for a GREAT experience!

Underrated, understated charm.Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Has character.
Cons: Internet. fitness room.
Location: I was on business. So, didn't partake in fun. Food was close.
This is an underrated place. It's not shiny and new, but it has a certain late 20th century charm, which some of us miss. I mean before the time before the rise of plastic-banana hotel chains. It has a kind of a big lodge feel to it, even though it's close to all the shopping and the interstate. It's long, rather than tall - only two floors i think. I appreciated that, after staying at a tall hotell the previous couple of days - didn't have to waste my time on elevators. The room, bedding, furninture were clean and comfortable. There was a fridge and a better than average TV. Would be nice if there was a way to let in some fresh air without running the fan, but i guess on the 1st floor that's hard to facilitate. The internet was slower than it should be in an "event center", but adequate. The fitness room should be at least doubled in size - needs a free-weight rack/bench and a pull-up bar added to the 3 cardio machines. Stayed a couple of nights, and would definitely return, if i am in the area. Reminded me of much better times for us in the US, back in the days...

Pros: comfortable bed and quiet air conditioning system
Cons: include breakfast

no problems except that breakfast was not included in the price. Buffet breakfast closed at 9:30 on a Saturday...we missed it by 2 minutes!

Great service!Posted May 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed at this hotel several times during the past months. I am travel nurse and had to stay close to one of the Winston-Salem hospitals during the days I worked. The hotel staff was wonderful and accommodating allowing me to check in after my night shifts. They treated me very well and made me feel at home! Especially Pam in the front desk and Marilyn in the dining room area. It was such a wonderful experience to visit this hotel. The rooms were clean, I felt safe, and I was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
