“Dependable”

This is the only place I stay when visiting Winston Salem. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price is reasonable and the location is in close proximity to restaurants and the downtown area.

The front was helpful and had a pleasant conversation. When I walked into the room it was clean and very comfortable. The pillows was nice and fluffy the bed was relaxing not stiff boards like most. My yet was rewarding. Coming back again .

“Close to Research Park and Old Salem”

No complaints ! Formal 2.5 stars is definitely an underestimation. I needed a place to sleep between two days of work meetings. The place which will let me start a new day refreshed and in a good mood. Did I get that ? Yes I did ! Taken the price, I was surprised to see everything promised being real. Wireless internet works, and decently fast (ATT test showed almost 3Mbit/sec). Breakfast served (though only until 9am, too early for many!). Room cleaned. Coffeemaker supplied with few tea and coffee packs. Room had a microwave. Breakfast is simpler than in higher-than-3-star hotels: pastry, bagels, waffles (kid's favorite), variety of muffins, cereal, and packaged burgers which can be warmed in a microwave. Is it enough to spring a healthy young energetic person into great day ? Yes, it is. Can anyone consider that a unique restaurant experience ? No. I would use this hotel for any business-related endeavors without any hesitation.

“Helpful staff”

I arrived shortly before noon after an overnight flight and was told that check-in time was 3 p.m. The desk clerk worked to find me a room that I could occupy within a few minutes and was very helpful and attentive throughout my stay. She greeted me by name several times without looking it up, and provided good directions and suggestions for local attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV set was an older tube model but had a sharp picture and a larger-than-usual selection of about 100 channels. The location was convenient and central to downtown Winston-Salem, but the entrance was not clearly visible so I had to circle the block a few times to find it. A few small flaws: the hotel brochure said every room has a refrigerator, but there was no refrigerator in my room. I am on a restricted diet and brought food that needed refrigeration. I kept my food cool in an ice bucket but on my return flight I was required to discard my refrigerant gel packs because they were no longer frozen solid (TSA was OK with them when frozen, but would not permit them when the contents were unfrozen.) Also, at the free breakfast, there was no milk available -- a note was posted that apologized for the lack of milk but there was no explanationi.

I stayed at the Hotel for One week and was very satisfied for cleanliness, service, friendly and surrounding area.
