Great location, friendly staffPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: cleanliness, staff, location, parking lot - free parking
Cons: decorate room
Location: Right by Old Salem, downtown location, business area. Not sure what it would be like during the week, we were there on the weekend. Quiet, safe area.
Great hotel. Close to Old Salem, downtown. About 8-9 minutes from Wake Forest University campus- very easy to get to. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was big ( I think it must have been a suite, converted to a King room) The only weird thing was there was no decoration on the walls. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast was standard continental type, nothing special. Would definitely stay here again.

Room too small, nice bathroom though!Posted Feb 20, 2014
It was just okay. We do not like 2 queen beds in a small room.

It was "OK". Expected more for the reputation.Posted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: Check in front desk staff GREAT! Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Quiet during my stay. Room had the basics, except for a working blow dryer.
Cons: The hotel needs to go to Dollar General and have 2 Hand Held blow dryers on hand for easy access. They also do not have a Maintenance Key? Seriously?
Location: Good location down town. Close to OLD SALEM, Wake Forrest Baptist Hospital, Foot Hills Brewing and other cool downtown establishments.
1) Difficult to find, poor sign placements, could use improvement. 2) Parking deck is around the corner of the hotel. Makes it slightly inconvienent, and again, poor sign markings to identify the hotel parking. Could use improvement. 3) Stuart is awesome at the front desk, friendly. There was another girl there as well and she was very accommodating as well. THE PROBLEMS: In the AM my blow drier went dead. Loud POP, and it was done, so I called the front desk. They had no hand held blow dryers available, (HOTEL: GET SOME), nor did they have a Maintenance key to get into the back room. I had wet hair and had a conference at 8. The front desk could not come up with a solution. I finally asked if I could get into another room, use the blow dryer. They called me back and met me at a room so I could dry my hair. Had I not suggested this, the young man at the desk had not one way to accommodate me. I had a co-worker-roomate who ended up not washing her hair that morning as she couldn't dry it. BREAKFAST: Not a piece of fruit to be had. The eggs, bacon and sausage that is advertised on the website was non existent. The breakfast bar was less than impressive. Yes... some dry cereal, you could make a waffle, yogurt and some bread, pastry. But nothing "healthy". When I choose a hotel I always look at AM breakfast options before booking. Lets face it, a decent breakfast should be offered for all you pay. OVERALL: The AM made my experience disappointing.

Pros: Stuart at the front desk was extremely helpful. Great location and great value.
This was the second time I stayed here and it was a great hotel for the location and value. Walkable to downtown and area's of interest. Is not my goto biz hotel for Winston-Salem.

Overnight stay business travelPosted Feb 5, 2014
Pros: Staff was courteous and smiled a lot!
Location: I don't know what there is to do around the area, but the location is right off the highway.
Very clean, great price, employees were super friendly, breakfast nice. Had a quick stay but very friendly staff. Parking lot is across the street in a secured parking garage. Little inconvenience there, but no big deal. Would repeat.
