Great location, but quite dated

Posted Jul 30, 2015
We loved this location, but the hotel room was very dated. The bed was comfortable, but the patio was covered in spider webs.

Large facility; pet friendly close to lakes

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Murphy bed was convenient and comfortable
Cons: Most of the information on locating the hotel for first time visitors.
Location: Location was close to Grand Lake and the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Smokers above and below made it impossible to enjoy balcony and the clean air of the mountains.

OK, but expected a bit more for price

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Clean room & cable TV. Very quiet area & decent view!
Cons: get more than 1 ice machine
Location: Is located right across the highway from the town 'super market' - caught good deals on sale items!
Room was clean, murphy bed was comfortable, but sofa sleeper was NOT - super thin mattress. I think we were in non-smoking section of lodge, but smoke from lower patio/balcony comes through balcony floor and window - which must be open in summer b/c no AC. It seems as little effort/materials were put into construction for sound insulation - could easily hear guests above & next door.

Nice hotel

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Location, price, the help was very accommodating, the food was delicious. Lots of entertainment, with the hot tubs, swimming pool, handball court.
Cons: The bed could have been a little more comfortable.
Location: We were on our way to Trail Ridge Road and Estes Park, so just stopped by for the night.
Great stay with lots of things to do for the price. The steak we had at the lounge was top rate. Cooked the way we ordered it and was very tender and tasty. The bed could have been a little softer, but was adequate. Would stay again if in the area.

OK place to stay

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: Location - great Mexican food nearby and ski slope.
Location: Great Mexican food nearby and the ski slope is great for hiking and free ski lift rides. Good access to Rocky Mountain Park.
The rooms are owned individually and vary in condition. We had a place to stay, but not much else. Only one chair on small porch and a fairly generic room. Nice pool and hot tub - good location for park access during busy weekend.

Needs updating

Posted Jul 9, 2015
The carpet was dirty and torn. The balcony/patio had bird droppings all over the table and chairs. The tub was filthy. I would recommend most any other facility. This one was awful!

Nice location but had to change rooms

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: The location is beautiful, pool area seemed nice.
Cons: Sleeping accommodations--sofa sleepers need updating. Better climate control would be nice.
Location: The surrounding area is beautiful and we found plenty of things to do in Grand Lake and RMNP, which are nearby.
We stayed for three nights. We had booked a studio with a murphy bed and a sofa sleeper. The murphy bed was fine, but the sofa sleeper was extremely uncomfortable. We reported this to the front desk, and they were very accommodating. They moved us to a loft at no additional charge. The loft was more comfortable regarding the beds. This facility has no air conditioning, which may not be a problem for most of the year. We were there for 4th of July weekend, the weather was hot, and opening the window was not enough to cool the room to a comfortable temperature for sleeping. In addition, with the window open, we were smelling the cigarette smoke from the nearby guests who stepped outside to smoke on their patio or balcony. As I said, the staff was great. The restaurant (only open for dinner) prices were consistent with other places in the area, and the food was good.
