Kids had a blast.Posted Jan 20, 2015
We spent one night on a ski weekend with our three kids and they had a blast at the pool and told us how great the hotel was. If they're happy I'm happy. Fun stay.

Great spot and hotelPosted Sep 2, 2014
Location: Great Irish Restaurant across the street with live music on some nights.
The owners from Poland are sweethearts. Very helpful with anything you need. Location is fabulous. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and stores. Rooms very clean. Price is right, too. Many things to do in the area also. Grea

Very welcome to find at the end of the day.Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Super excellent pricing--a ski lodge in the winter, but terrific for summertime travel.
Cons: Expand the breakfast selection area.
Location: Located on the main street and within walking distance of restaurants and an art gallery.
The hotel was very comfortable and we loved the king-sized bed. Didn't care for the scent of the soap, but the shampoo was wonderful and I wish I could find it for purchase locally. We walked around the town a bit, just the right length for a walk after a day on the road, and also walked to a nice restaurant for supper.

There are better options...Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: The guy at the front desk was super nice and helpful. I think he and his wife are the owners.
Cons: Do something about the smell. Add breakfast area seating and offer more variety. Keep eye on the pool so partyers don't scare away everyone else.
Location: Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Nice park and trail across the street. Convenient to WP Skier shuttle stops.
I booked this hotel for a last minute trip to Winter Park. I chose this one because it was the only one with a king bed and an indoor pool and hot tub, at a price I was willing to pay. I never got to use the hot tub, because it was always full of partying 20-something people who seemed to be drunk and struggling to keep their bathing suits on. The rooms themselves are pretty spare - not even a picture hanging on the walls. The beds are okay. The pillows are dreadful, flat things. The rooms are super clean. The lobby and hallway are another matter. The second I entered the lobby to check in, I regretted booking this hotel. It smells. Bad. I can't quite put my finger on the odor, but it's maybe a combination of mustiness and overcooked vegetables. I'm not sure if the owners/managers live on site and were cooking some funky dinner, or what. The hallways had the same smell. It permeated everything, except the rooms. The continental breakfast was pitiful. A few bagels and slices of bread, coffee and juice. Nowhere to sit, and trays for carrying food to your room are in your room, not by the breakfast, so you have to go back to your room to look for a tray once you realize you have to carry everything to the room. Oh, and don't take any candy from the basket by the front desk. I took a piece of hard candy, and when I opened it, the wrapper was nearly glued to the candy, as if it had gotten wet. I tried a second piece, and it was all soft, also like it had gotten wet.

Great locationPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The owners were incredibly kind, property is well-maintained, great location, quiet, and while limited, continental breakfast was included.
Cons: Expanded pool and hot tub hours. Thicker blankets on beds. Additional pillows. Tea/Coffee in rooms.
Location: Great location 50' from shuttle and 100' from The Library (pub and grill).
This is a wonderful budget friendly hotel located conveniently on the shuttle line.

Nice hotel close to slopes.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Probably a 40 dollar motel anywhere else but $169.00 a night during peak ski season is probably average for all motels there. It was 80's decor but still very clean and the owner and his wife was super nice. Clean towels were delivered daily, room was vacuumed daily, and beds were made up for us daily. Would recommend to anyone if you need a last minute booking!

Motel Olympia - not Olympia LodgePosted Jan 6, 2014
Cons: Advertise this with correct name. Mattresses need to be replaced. Better towels and fabric softener would be appreciated.
Location: Randi's Irish pub is great - excellent bison burgers. Winter Park has good skiing & a great ski school for the kids.
This property is listed and advertised as Olympia Lodge but in reality it is Motel Olympia. The facility is older which would be ok except the mattresses are no longer holding shape. Everyone in our party slept poorly due to the bad mattresses. The pool & hot tub were only open after 4pm. The towels were scratchy and thin. Had I known this was a motel not a lodge type facility I would have chosen different lodging for my family.
