Good train link to liverpool lime street. Nice comfy hotel. Shame about the fire alarm at midnight coz someone burnt the toast down in the bar.

Stay at Grove House Hotel, Wallasey, WirralPosted Nov 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed for one night in their single room which was comfortable, with nice touches such as bottle of water, fruit, crisps and chocolate bar all complementary. The restaurant is very smart and the food was delicious. I did however a problem with the plumbing and the hot water failed for the morning shower, the hotel were helpful and we got it going eventually but caused a delay to my timings. When I went to pay the bill they had reduced my bill by £10 as an apology which was appreciated.

quite a poor hotelPosted Sep 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
A long way away from Liverpool, the room was a single but was tiny. Tried to get into the hotel at 1 am but the door was locked and night manager was asleep so had to wait 30 minutes before going to bed. Not so good

Unexpected luxuryPosted Sep 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was staying overnight for business purposes and had booked a single room at The Grove based on a recommendation from a colleague. I called in advance to say I would be arriving late. On arrival, I was allocated a gorgeous room with a 4-poster bed, comfy chairs , beautifully appointed bathroom and overall high levels of space and comfort. And there was also a little welcome basket with some fruit and crisps and water, which at 10pm after a long drive were much appreciated. A fan was also in the room as the windows had limited opening range. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Lovely little hotel with great access to Liverpool via the cheap, fast trains from the end of the road!!

It was a brief but very nice stay. Location was a little out but close to rail and easy to get into Liverpool. Staff were very friendly.

AA 3 STARPosted Jun 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was clean & tidy and the quality of service was good. (only let down by a missed early morning call) Small lounge area, too much furniture. And bar which would be ok for a small group of friends. Bedrooms at the front of the hotel may not be good for VERY light sleepers, ours was a good size and comfortable. Would not be disappointed to stay there again. Easy access to Liverpool by motorway or train

Only downfall was I couldn't turn the radiator down. Otherwise a nice hotel.
