“not impressed”

we were very disappointed, room small, no real place to sit, musky odor and had a room next to a dog that liked to bark! Also felt the queen size bed looked like a double bed. My husband and I were sure glad we had asked for a queen size bed hate to have seen what a double looked like. My husband and I have stayed at other Days Inns and always had been satisfied with the room but this time we wished we had booked with the Super 8 but it did not have a pool and my husband wanted a pool we did not try the pool at this Days Inn did not feel it was safe because of the musky smell of the room. Almost forgot the water had a odor glad we had bottled water with to drink and brush our teeth. Noted water was not soft during the shower Would not recommend this hotel to any one not worth the price we had paid for it!

“Got Screwed”

This Motel did not give us the rooms we reserved through Expedia and did not care. One of the rooms were not cleaned one of the days and they left one room without towels both days. I will NEVER stay at this Motel again they do not care one bit about a customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“below average”

Not bad if you like sagging matresses, cheetoes stuck in the chair cushions, hair in the bathroom, and unfriendly staff that make it seem like you shouldn't be asking for the pool to open during posted pool hours. Has had some maintenance done but it looks like the contractor was Uncle Louis who said "sure I can fix that, aint nothin to it"

reserved non smoking room, but this one was obviously a smoked in room. dusting had not been done properly for some time. not what we had expected.

“Too far from town”

I expected to be in Portage, at least on the out skirts, I had to take the interstate to get to town.

“Okay in a pinch....Priced all right.”

Pricing was reasonable and room all right. It was nice having the Truck Stop next door for the convenience of getting a good meal.

“we would go back”

Need some work on the rooms to update. (hole in the wall, musty, water on the bathroom floor, etc0 The breakfast was good and front desk personnel helpful. Fee water park tickets with the room was a huge bonus. We loved that.

“A great place to stop”

After a long day of driving i was so glad to be able to stop and rest. the room was a little small, and the pool was in need of a little facelift, but overall it was a good value and a good night's rest!

“Needs Remodeling”

I will say that there are pro's & con's about this hotel. The breakfast in the morning was very impressive. There was a refrigerator in the room. The hotel staff were very friendly. However, when I arrived at the hotel, it was extremely noisy. There were people "screaming" down the hallway. When I called & complained to the front desk, they said that it would be taken care of. A while later, there was still lots of noise. Also, the bathroom was very dirty. There was hair in the sink & in the shower, & the screens on the exterior windows were mostly bent. This hotel needs major remodeling & housekeeping. For the price that I paid, I would recommend that you stay somewhere else.

Area recommendations

If you are looking for a nice hotel, I would recommend that you stay at the Comfort Suites across the highway because it looks like a better place to stay. Also, for food, there is a nice truck stop nearby.

The Tanger Outlet Mall is about 20 miles west in Wisconsin Dells.

There is a nice truck stop nearby with a Dairy Queen & Subway.
