Nice hotel with lots to do.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The hotel had a nice waterpark and lots of options for everyone.
Cons: There could have been better/more blankets on the beds and there was weird green blinking lights on the ceiling which made it hard to sleep.
Location: The intersection getting to and from the hotel was terrible. Incoming traffic did not have to stop and it took "forever" to get out.
We got a good workout with all the stairs and walking at this hotel! There was only one (slow) elevator in our building. Overall it was nice but we may stay somewhere else next time - getting out onto the main road from this place was a pain! Waterslides were good but the wave pool wasn't as impressive as other places we've been. Also the only hot tub was only for adults and it wasn't very hot...

Kids loved it

There isn't enough categories to properly rate this hotel. The hotel rooms and facilities show signs of its high turnover rate because there really isn't many reasons to leave this place. The waterslides are adequate (there's better ones out there but good enough for young kids) and the Magiquest kept them entertained for hours. The hotel itself is a 3 but the great staff and fun factor for kids bumps this up to 3.5 to 4. There's no other place to stay than here or the Kalahari (has more entertainment value). Of note, never stay at Mt. Olympus. It's crazy loud and busy and their rooms in the village are dirty and horrid. The main hotel Rome might be the only salvageable place but anywhere else in the "village" is just bought out motels that haven't seen much work since they were bought out by Mt. Olympus.

Care and Maintenance is needed!

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The restaurant is convenient and the food was good. The breakfast was really good. Service is slow and with kids that is a problem.
Cons: Upkeep your rooms. I left a note that had to have been seen by the staff about the remote missing the back and no response was given.
Location: Too many to name. There is something for everyone. Whether you have kids or not, you can find something to do.
We had the fireplace loft room. A few things that could have easily been corrected........sticky drawer handles, broken wet clothes line in the bathroom, tub needed repair, big hole in a chair, back of the remote missing and carpet that could have used a bit more vacuuming. For the money spend, I expected better. I realize there are a lot of children that occupy these rooms but for the money charged, do the upkeep.

perfect for children under the age of 7.

Pros: the water park.
Cons: we could not regulate the thermostat so we were either freezing or boiling.
Location: the hotel is right in the heart of everything and there are outlet stores and restaurants within walking distance. i would stay there again.
the water park was perfect and being mostly indoors worked beautifully no matter the weather. we tried to stay away from all the things they were selling although not an easy task with a 5 year old. the restaurant is the one area where they fell short. the menu items sounded upscale but the actual food was so bad that i had to say something to the waiter. he did take my entree off the bill which was very kind of him but the hotel has a captive audience and they could really do a great job with the restaurant.

Both great and not so great

Checkin process was clunky. Had to go to the front desk three times to get it resolved and if you know how big the place is that was not a small trip. The rooms are extremely loud and you can hear every foot step above. Will not return unless I stay on the top floor. The kids loved the water park and there was so much to do. Not one issue with the water park.
