“Very good hotel for the price”

If you go to Devils Lake and want a good value on a hotel stay, this is the place to go. Very reasonable rates, clean and comfortable, conveniently located. Family restaurant right next door. I would definitely come back!

“Want a room near but not in the dells?”

Although this IS an older motel the cleanliness and quality of their rooms is very well kept. This is a very nice and fairly cheap place to stay for those seeking excitement in the dells but not wanting to pay the high prices of rooms right in the dells. They have a mini mart within walking distance and a 4 star restaurant right across the motel parking lot. You actually get a KEY for your door, none of those plastic cards the 9 out of 10 times do not work. If your just looking for a place to sleep and keep your things while having fun in the dells then Thunderbird Motor Inn will easily serve this purpose. It might look older on the outside but the rooms have great air conditioning, basic cable, and reliable wi-fi access. Would I stay here again? Yes.

“Clean and cheap”

It's a completely acceptable stay at a reasonable price. They allowed me to have my dog which was a plus. The room was super clean, and even though it was a room especially for guests with pets, it didn't smell like it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

“GOOD BASE HOTEL FOR THE BARABOO AREA.”

HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. GREAT LOCATION. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE BATH TUB WAS A LITTLE SLIPPERY WHEN WET. AND THE TOILET AND THE TOILET PAPER WAS POORLY PLACED.

“Ok for the price”

The hotel was easy to locate. It is a bit run down but nice for the price.

We wanted a place to stay. This place fit the bill. It was okay.

“Good for a cheap stay”

There was a funny smell when I entered the room. Old carpet smell!

“an extra pillow and strange staff”

Staff (owner?) barged into our locked room an hour before the posted checkout time to inquire if we were about to check out.. thankfully we were clothed! Dirty vinyl shower curtain. Old smaller television. Free WIFI, ask desk for password. It isn't terrible and is close to both Devil's Head and Cascade ski areas (15 minute drive). Three or so restaurants within walking distance of room. It isn't bad, it isn't good. It's okay.

“no frills but clean.”

the motel is clean and well kept. about what you expect for the price. perfect for a stay at the dells. baraboo is a great town. also near good food.

“Beau's Party”

Our room was clean but the beds were very, very uncomfortable and very hard.
