Older but being remodeled

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Price and pet friendly
Cons: Tub, little stained
Location: Famous Dave's 2 miles. Walgreens, Big Lots, restaurant, grocery store across street.
Great location. Breakfast was only toast or muffin with coffee or oj Being remodeled. Looks scary but no problems. Great price, pet friendly and good staff.

I was charged essentially the same rate as a three star hotel but the accommodations did not warrant one star. The room was dingy and I could see the parking lot around the worn seal of the ac unit.

Avoid it. Sleep in your car instead.

I booked this hotel for my husband and a colleague who needed to stop and sleep for a few hours. Everything else in the area was sold out. He reported that it's in a not so great neighborhood and the room was "pretty bad" - not clean or maintained. A leaky vent in the bathroom caused a musty, damp smell. I know he didn't need much - just a decent motel room to rest for a few hours. Had I known how bad this place was, I would have told them to keep driving.

Rodeway is a NO-WAY

The conditions were terrible, the room was dirty and the staff was less than professional (i.e. desk clerk with foot on the counter picking a scab off his leg). We will not stay here again.

would not go back

Location was very noisy from traffic noise and other guests. Breakfast included only muffins, English muffins and old juice. They were out of coffee. Employee was on his phone and did not even get up off his chair to talk to me.

Basic sleeping ok, location/upkeep could be better

Pros: convenient location/cost
Cons: Noisy non-English speakers hanging around room/car after our bedtime and before we planned to rise.
Location: On US 1, it is only about 20 miles from DC.
Drifters hung around our outside door until the wee hours, actually knocked on our door at 2:30 am asking to borrow a wine bottle opener--a little scary. The "continental breakfast" consistently said "Sold out" and there was only coffee thru both days of our stay. The staff was very congenial, and the room was a good basic, clean room with no frills. It was a convenient location, best price in the area--but not a place I was comfortable enough to return. A lightbulb was out, the hair dryer didn't work, and the bathtub --though I checked and it was indeed clean--was so stained that I was not comfortable bathing in it. Had I not been with my husband, I would have cancelled my reservation when I saw it--that said, it actually worked out fine for "basic" place to sleep---we had plans out in the community so had not planned to be in the room except for hours of sleep.

Run, don't walk, in the other direction...

The rap music was deafening; one could even hear a cell phone ring next door. The sound would have been disturbing everybody it was so loud. Nothing was done. The beds were like planks, literally. They did not resemble matresses. The towels smelled foul, like rank human smells. The smell of rank room freshener was over everything, but the place was thoroughly grubby. It was without a doubt the worst hotel experience of my life. Spend the extra 10-15 dollars and stay somewhere decent.
