Lovely hotel, shame about the hair salonPosted Jun 26, 2014
Stayed at the Ufford Hotel as qas attending a family wedding. The hotel itself was lovely. Room was spacious and very clean, food was delicious and the staff very helpful. Sadly my children didn't have time to use the pool which looked lovely. I went to visit the hair salon to discuss an appointment I'd booked for the following day. I arrived at the hair salon at 3pm to find it closed when it was meant to shut at 4.30pm. No sign up explaining why. This didn't fill me with confidence so I cancelled my appointment.

A very pleasant location and the food was good, but the beds were so hard and the room was not as clean as it should have been.

No Air conditioningPosted May 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booked a standard double room but the room we were given was a family room with a small double and a single squashed into a rather gloomy ground floor room backing onto the car park. The very helpful receptionist managed to switch our room despite them being fully booked for a much nicer room on the first floor. All rooms seem to be very tired and whilst clean do need a facelift. Both the first room we saw on the ground floor and the second room on the first floor had no opening windows and only a full length door. Not so bad on the first floor but I would not have wanted to sleep on the ground floor with the door open. As there is no A/C you have to have the door open to get fresh air, even in May it was too stuffy with the door closed. Moving on, Breakfast if you want it is £10 if you book in advance but £12.95 if you don't. I had a full english and it was not the best, like a lot of Hotels the food is left out buffet style so the bacon was very dried out and quite hard, the best thing was poached eggs from the kitchen as these are cooked to order. Overall the Hotel was OK and the friendliness of the staff made up for the tired rooms and lack of A/c. I would rate this a 3 star.

Convenient location and good golf coursePosted Apr 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Ufford Park to visit family members who were visiting nearby at the time. Service was good and the facilities were excellent. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The golf service is excellent and the course is a challenge - Do take a buggy!

Great spa hotel, friendly and relaxed locationPosted Apr 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed our stay and used the pool area with sauna etc plus the additional spa facilities which are above average in quality. Not entirely sure if we should have used the separate spa area, but no one stopped us going in so assumed was included. The rooms were clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. There was no fridge, only one bedside table and the washbasin taps flowed very slowly (maybe to save water which is a good idea but too slow). There was no air con in room but a fan provided, we did not need the fan as the outside temp was fine for April. We eat in the bar area and had a great meal. The only real issue was that breakfast was not included in the rate and so at the price we paid was more expensive than several other local hotels we have stayed in with similar facilities.

Good overall amenitiesPosted Mar 28, 2014
It was very busy during our stay and yet we were well catered for. Staff & service were pleasing, nothing here to complain about. Although this hotel was geared for golfers any non-golfers were made welcome.

We stayed with a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old so were supplied with a cot and a futon. Room was fine, breakfasts were good. Children loved the swimming pool, wasn't too cold but they did have wetsuits on! Changing rooms were good. Quite a long walk from the room to reception, restaurant and pool when we were checking in/out with all our bags and children. A porter service would have been helpful.
