Close to family member's home, shopping,

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Room is spacious.
Cons: Maid service, clean refridge better, clean ALL rooms
Location: Shopping, taking train to D.C. to national monuments
Arrived early Saturday morning (1:30 a.m.). Took clerk rather long to check us into hotel. May need a faster computer system. Left room about 11:00 a.m. and returned at 3:15 p.m. and room not cleaned nor bed made. Left to attend brother's "going away" party and arrived back to hotel at 9:15 p.m. Room was still not clean, no clean towels, and beds remained unmade. Called front desk and was told "there was no maid service." I travel frequently, have stayed in numerous hotels and suites. Many are 4.0-4.5 star to include my time share. I have NEVER known a hotel to say, "no maid service." We had to go to front desk to get clean towels. Also, we had to go have room key reactivated twice. The one bright spot was a young lady on Sunday when we checked out at 8:45 a.m.. She apologized for the "lack of maid service and fresh towels." If this hotel did not have maid service, who was the lady with the cleaning cart and towels three doors down the hall, when we were leaving. It's nice that they are renovating but I'll never stay there again nor recommend anyone.

Woodbridge Night

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The room was so relaxing. It also had a microwave and refrigerator which was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: There are several restaurants and shopping centers around the hotel. The Outback Restaurant was very good. It is located just off I-95, very convenien
Despite the renovations, which a re more than half finished, the rooms and lobby were completed. The rooms were actually suites and were very comfortable. I wish we had another night or two to stay and check out the shopping in the area.

Pros: Location
Cons: Amenities: we didn't have hot water most of the time, didn't have enough soap and towels for our number of guess.
Location: Nice shopping area and places to eat near by.
Major renovation was taking place during our stay, so we over looked the dust noise and etc. However we are sure the temperature in the pool area will be bearable after the renovation. Our door pass had to be reprogrammed often, door to the restroom was difficult to close and the hair dryer was about to fall off of the wall. I think things will be better if there is a next time.

Pros: Professionalism
Cons: N/a
Location: Hotel is almost exactly across the street from Potamac Mills Mall, :-)
Check in was very simple and easy, was greeted with a smile. The hotel was undergoing rennovations but still managed to have everything very clean.

Midway to DC and the base

Posted May 6, 2015
We had a nice stay. Construction going on but only during the day and we were gone for most of that. The lady doing the breakfast line was great.

Convenient hotel near the outlet mall

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Convenient and close to the highway and local attractions
Cons: Block sound from Gideon-my friend who was visiting thought there were airplanes passing by instead of cars. Need sound barrier!
Location: Lots of eateries and things to do as it's across from the mall.
We did not spend a whole lot of time at the hotel but overall, we enjoyed our stay. The bed was a little too soft for my taste but my friend felt it was perfect as she prefers a softer mattress. The sound from the road is a little loud. We turned on the AC which helped mute a good portion of the noise. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely go there again!

One night stay...won't do it again.

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Access to public amenities, freeway, mall, restaurants, etc
Cons: Everything that comes with a complete renovation.
The staff was great. The gentleman who checked us in was efficient and more than accommodating, going above the call of duty. I informed his GM of his excellent customer service. It all went downhill from there. Torn up furniture appeared in the lobby, right next to registration desk. Furniture, a big piece, probably a chest of drawers, was missing from my room. A huge indentation was left in the carpet that indicated that a piece of furniture used to be there. The bed looked slept in when we arrived. The bedding was thin, tattered, and looked unclean (scary!), the carpet was torn, the bathroom smelled, the window curtains were plastic and hanging halfway off the hooks. I am so NOT picky, but I could go on. But I hope the picture is clear. As nice as the staff was, I just would never do it again. I could have gotten the same rate at the hotel across the street, with way better accommodations.

A true suite

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: The beds, which are Beautyrest World Class, can be compared to Westin Heavenly bed also made by Beautyrest.
Cons: The hotel is under renovation to be completed in July. It will become a Comfort Suites. The breakfast is as varied as before and no newspapers.
Location: Easy access to Washington DC on I-95. The Marine Memorial, Mt Vernon, Alexandria are nearby.
We are in the area about a week twice a year and usually stay at Wytestone. The rooms are a true suite with a real living area separate from the bedroom. The bathroom is between the living and bedroom areas so that if the sofa bed is being used there is access to the bathroom without going through the bedroom.
