Horrible hotel, no way is it a 4 star. AvoidPosted Nov 25, 2013
Horrible room. Smelly corridors. Dead leaves in stairwells. Sink didn't drain. Fungus on inner windows. Hearing fan very loud so you can't sleep. Rude staff, unhelpful. Horrible breakfast mixing meat with vegetarian. My car was damaged in car park.

disappointing stayPosted Nov 10, 2013
Cons: misleading information on the website. hotel definitely does not deserve 4 stars.
booked hotel via expedia on internet. when we arrived to our room non of the mentioned facilities were available i.e. no iron or safe. room was smelly and not refurbished as stated on the website. after complaining were offered an identical room which we refused. we were then offered a second option which again had none of the mentioned facilities but also no hot water or heating. we were forced to stay in that room as no other options were given until the following morning. the room which we had till the end of our stay was refurbished, had a safe and iron but no window or ventilation so we were forced to breadth the same air for the next 3 days.

Nice enough but nothing specialPosted Sep 29, 2013
Room ok but a little dated. Rrasonably helpful staff but a little impersonal. Suited our needs but probably could have found better for the price.

Close enough to london without the London pritadPosted Sep 9, 2013
Location: Was on business so didn't do much apart from work.
Friendly staff and nice rooms. Back garden could do with updating a bit but other than that it was very nice.

unusual stayPosted Jul 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
One thing future guest should know is that the majority of rooms are actually located in a converted church which has been sympathetically attached to the original Georgian house hotel. This said it is very comfortable, with lifts and underground parking if required.

Don't botherPosted Jul 8, 2013
Hot and stuffy room, couldn't open the window enough and no air con. No shower, only a bath. Uncomfortable bed and pillows like bricks. Overall, not worth it.

Nothing like the pictures on the websitePosted Jul 5, 2013
Pros: Bar and Restaurant staff and the food
Cons: the room i was allocated
Location: I was informed by staff at the hotel that the centre of London was approx 10 mins train/tube ride - more like 30 plus taxi ride to nearest station
Upon arrival (7.30pm) I was informed by the woman at reception that one of the two rooms I had booked was not ready yet. Her words were "one of the rooms is not ready yet, it is being cleaned because we had a late check out, is that ok?" my reply was no not really, I have been driving for over four hours and I am very tired", to which she replied, "well we had a late check out I'm afraid". As though this was just standard practice. She just left it at that, no offer to go and sit in the bar/lounge, no apology just a hard luck attitude. I asked what time check in was from and was told 2 pm, thank goodness I didn't arrive earlier in the day. When my room was ready I was really looking forward to getting in as the pictures on the website made me expect a bit of luxury. How wrong I was, the room I was allocated was a grubby, tatty box room. The window was almost falling out of the frame and would not stay open, some of the lights didn't work and the walls and carpet were dirty. The bathroom was a mess, black mould all over the sealant and grout in the tiny of tiniest shower cubicles, do not us if you do not want to bruise your elbows on the wall when washing your hair, the extractor fan did not work and there was no other ventilation. The only good thing about this hotel was the restaurant and bar staff and the food was very nice and not too expensive. This is definitely not a four star hotel, the pictures and description on the website does not portray the truth. do not book!
