I will gladly visit the Hotel again. However, the beds are small compared to regular bed.

“Great accommodations for the price”

For the price, County Hotel Woodford was a great find. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service staff were friendly. Getting to London via bus and tube was relatively easy, but about an hour or travel time. Epping Forest was a nice reprieve from bustling London. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was alright - except the paper thin walls that made it hard to sleep....

“Comfortable,”

It was my first time in London, and I was a little bit worried about the distance, but at the end it wasn't difficult at all. The Staff was kind, the room was very clean the neighborhood is calm and secure and I like very much that the hotel is sorrounded by trees. I will definitely stay there again.

“Good, cheap, comfortable accomodation”

We found this hotel to be clean, comfortable, everything there that we needed, good location, short walk to bus stop, 5 min bus ride to tube station and 20 mins into centre of London on the tube.

“Good for value”

Booked it for a friend. No problem with the hotel although there were mixed reviews on few websites. Read more than 80 reviews on hotels in and around London before deciding on this place. Came at a very good price. Downside: Hotel is not within walkable distance to local tube station, have to catch a taxi (abt £5) or take a bus. Helpful reception staff clearly explained the bus routes (involves a 15min walk to nearest bus stop) and gave us a map. However on second day, they had to move our friend to another room to have shower due to lack of hot water. But nothing major, overall would recommend to others and would definitely use this hotel again.

“Fair price”

A fair value for money. 30 minutes from the nearest underground station and another 30 minutes by underground train to city center. There is a long time since the hotel was last time refurnished. Especially the bathroom tub, the toillet and the draintrap are old and need urgent replacement. Nevertheless, the hotel is clean and the old and used towels are daily changed. The only consumable provided is liquid soap and this is not confortable.

“County Hotel Review”

Hotel needs updating generally. Room was clean and comfortable, but not very warm even though heating was on. Shower could be more powerful and hairdryer not very good, would take own next time. Only soap provided in bathroom. More milk needed for tea and coffee.

My son and I spent one night here. I felt that it was fair value for money for a London hotel . Reception were helpful and allowed us to check slightly earlier than planned. The general condition of the hotel is tired and in need of an update. Walls are thin and it was quite noisy at night.

“You get what you pay for!”

Poor service. When we told reception that the tv was not working (Saturday night about 7.30) it still wasn't repaired or replaced by Monday (10.30 am). We were told that maintenance were off that day and was this ok? Actually it wasn't ok! Some of the furniture was very obviously broken. My own favourite was the standard lamp leaning at a jaunty angle, next to the window that couldn't be closed that overlooked the carpark where the spaces were so small that neither driver or passenger could get out of the car because there was no room to open the doors. Over all the furnishings were very tired and needed to be replaced but as we were looking for an inexpensive hotel I suppose we shouldn't whinge too much. In this case you really do get what you pay for.
