From Woodstock, it's approximately 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the west to Springfield and 45 miles (72 kilometers) to the southeast to Newport.
It's a missed chance if you limit your sightseeing to the points of interest in Woodstock because the whole region is dotted with numerous terrific attractions. Plainfield and Uxbridge are just two of the many other places you may wish to visit while you're in Connecticut.
Worcester is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Woodstock. This regional center offers a wide range of visitor attractions, including Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Tuckerman Hall and American Sanitary Plumbing Museum. Higgins Armory Museum, Worcester Historical Museum and Union Station are other good places to visit.
