Great hosts,beautiful house
There isn't really anything close by but if you are into staying at a really cool house with great hosts in a beautiful serene location it's the place to be

We particularly like the ancient style of the house, the detailed introduction of the house history by Joshua, our innkeeper, and excellent cooking of 3 course breakfast by Amy.

Great old inn with history. Joshua and Amy were fantastic and the breakfast was unbelievable. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

The inn keepers made the visit special. homemade cookies rock. Small enough to get the full B&B experience.

A Gem
A 100+-year old home. Laid-back, gracious hosts; super comfy beds; elegant food and a beautiful setting. The extras? How about a pool, stream, walking trails, in-room coffee maker, TV/movie/reading room ( with a guitar), complimentary sodas....

Beautiful historic boutique hotel set in an ideal secluded location but just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and run by Amy and Joshua who are great hosts. Lovely sitting room where you can have a drink and play vinyl whilst playing some of the many board games available. Well maintained house and grounds. Luxurious towels and bedsheets. Superb breakfast. Heartily recommended

Nice weekend at Mountain Rose Inn. Clean & comfortable. Great friendly staff, Joshua & Amy, the Innkeepers. Felt at home and the breakfast was amazing, gourmet & plentiful! Very nice weekend in Woolwine but not a whole lot to do.

Romantic Victorian Bed & Breakfast
Our stay was amazing from the time we entered Virginia! The land and the scenery was so beautiful. Our Innkeepers, Patrick & Shelley and their dog Iggy are great....so very personable! The 3-course breakfasts they prepared were truly AWESOME along with the snacks in the afternoon and the dessert at night with the Cream Sherry as an after dinner drink. They were attentive to all the house guests needs and made it a point to try to get to know each of us during our time there. The Inn is gorgeous, has a wonderful history and story that has been preserved. The walking trail and stream were very peaceful to be around. There was a pool there but had just closed for the season.

It was a nice experience for us but make sure you come early a little bit and use google maps as it is quite difficult to find this place and the road is windy.

This is what a bed and breakfast should be
Welcomed upon arrival by Patrick and Shelly and shown room and facilities. Our room (and it was one of the less expensive) was large, clean, comfortable, airy, quaintly decorated and had a functioning fireplace-bonus! Breakfast was timely, hot, served by mine host and what I would call gourmet dining-nothing that I'd usually have and delicious. Iggy, their dog, followed us on our morning walk and actually seemed concerned that we not get lost, he kept awaiting us at the next corner. Evening was somores around a campfire with hosts (on acoustic guitar, an excellent singing voice and repertoire of folk songs) and a chance to connect with fellow guests. Only downside is that this experience has spoiled us for any other B&B's. We'll be back.

Charming country inn nestled in the mountains
Very gracious and considerate innkeepers! We had to leave early the next morning and she made a to go breakfast for us that was fabulous !! Beautiful comfortable room and the bubbling brook with the hammock was so relaxing ! Overall wonderful stay

Nice weekend get-a-way
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the inn keepers went that extra mile to insure the guest were happy. We stayed there about a year ago and enjoyed it very much, stayed again this past weekend and it was even better.

Wonderfully warm welcome from Bruce and Valerie including a help yourself to glass of sherry which was greatly appreciated. Room was perfect with thoughtful touches and breakfast superb. So nice to be served breakfast on china and glass rather than buffet style polystyrene

Great place to stay that is different
Yes, the drive was a little off-putting, but when we arrived, it was well worth the drive. Couldn't fault the stay or the inn-keepers. We only stayed one night, but soon wished we could stay for longer. Great place to explore the surrounding woods; great place to mix with other patrons. One of our highlights of two weeks on the road.

The Inn was very well kept and presented very nicely. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was extremely welcoming and warm. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful B&B
Beautiful B&B. It's a bit remote and restaurants for dinner are a 30 minute drive (minimum). But the house itself is wonderful. It sits on a creek and has chairs set up on the lawn for relaxing. The rooms are well equipped and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was a fabulous 4 course meal. Really nice!

Mike and Dora Jane could not have been more wonderful. Everything was perfect. The room we stayed in was lovely and having a view of the front was a great way to start the day. Breakfast was great, the selections were fantastic. I wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to a return trip. The roads leading into Woolwine were quite interesting and provided a great conversation starter with other guests at the Inn. We arrived in the evening and seeing the Inn at niight was breathtaking, and that was my same thought when seeing the Inn the next morning. Such a serene and calming location. Highly suggest to anyone.

Wonderful experience...
This is a very neat place nestled among the beautiful mountains. The hosts were wonderful. I highly recommend this inn for couples looking forward to having a quite time while being close to the nature.
