Stay only if passing through late

We had chosen this place late in the evening on the net. Most places were full except for this one. The young clerk was efficient and very friendly and got us settled quickly. The whole corridor our floor was on smelled strongly of smoke as did our room. As the rooms have kitchenettes you needed to get the equipment from the front desk. All of the cupboards had a sticky substance and smelled strongly of old cooking odours. The bathroom was adequate but not as clean as it could be. There was a substance around the taps that could have been cleaned with a little elbow grease.

Worst Hotel I have ever been to.

Reasons why I will never stay there again: lobby was like a freight entrance way dirt all around the edge of the floor in the bathroom and closet closet mirrors have not been clean for a while, finer prints and fluid splats all over them -GROSS! Top it all off, when I got out of the shower in the morning I was looking for the blow dryer and I could not find it. I called the front desk and they stated the dryers are at the front desk (WHAT?) I asked if someone can bring me one and she stated no because she was the only one there. (no other employees, REALLY). I told her I was in my PJ's and she stated sorry but I cant bring it up to you! Great customer service!!!!!

Location: Was to far from where I had to be each day. Best travel time was 1 hour
I had expected a HOTEL with even rudimentary facilities. All I had was a room to sleep and shower in. There was no room keping service at all unless you wanted to pay extra. It cost $1.99 + tax to have the phone hooked up and 75 cents per minute for calls. I was truly dissapointed and will not use ecpedia again to book a hotel.

budget Hotel OK if you have low expectations.

Room was OK good size with amenities as advertised. Refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner stove, one TV. A/C unit in window 12" from the bed. Air blows directly on the bed. Unit sounds like a truck every time it cycled on. Turned off at night because it was so loud and on top of the bed. Group of electricians staying in hotel long term working on a construction project were loud and drinking every night. Saturday they were in the parking lot drinking until 12:30 am. 4 calls to the front desk and they finally called the police. One female desk clerk on duty overnight can't control situations like this. Front lobby and elevators are very dirty. Could use heavy steam cleaning. Towels are all old, small and very thin. If you want clean towels you must bring down to the front desk and swap. Room had no dishes, pans, utensil, hair dryer, toaster etc. You have to go to the front desk to get any of these thing you would normally expect in a unit with a kitchen. No housekeeping unless you are there 7 days. If you want "breakfast to go" you better get it before 8 am. Coffee runs out by then. Plenty of granola bars and oatmeal packets.

Room cleaning

Pros: The refrigerator and the bed (Which was very comfortable)
We were very disappointed, because we were not told that it would cost extra to clean our room and change our linen and towels every night. And we stayed for six nights. We were told that for the price that we payed for the room and have it serviced properly, we would need to stay at least 8 nights. There were no glasses, shampoo, lotions, and shower caps provided. We had to go to the front desk to get extra towels. We asked for a 6:00 A.M. wake up call. It never happened. We wakened one morning at 6:45 A.M.by the roaring motors of the Cambridge bus. . As for the breakfast-- you provided cups and not bowls for the cereal.

I probably won't stay here again unless it's a last resort. Every other hotel was booked for the night. The shower wall vibrated whenever I would run the water, the drain in the sink was locked shut and their was no TV guide around so I didn't know what channels were available nor what channel I was watching. Not that big of a deal but it's the basics!

Strange that mattresses do not have pads on them? The hot water could be adjusted back at water heaters to save energy and money could almost be scald issue. Good service.
