beautiful location in a quaint English villagePosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: the location was wonderful
Cons: If the room had been decorated to a higher standard and was cleaner this property would leave a grand impression but it was somewhat disappointing.
Location: the hotel is in a beautiful country location if you are looking for a quiet retreat but nothing else is close by.
The hotel was very poorly signposted but we did eventually find it and the view of the manor house across the fields as we drove into the property was magnificent. The reception area, restaurant and bar area were well decorated and inviting but our room can best be described as tired. The room had been redecorated in the not too distant past but it was not to a very high standard and not in keeping with this grand property.

Nice Manor HallPosted Jul 5, 2014
Enjoyed an overnight stay with my wife. Enjoyed a nice walk around the hotel's property and along a public way at the Cotswolds, next to the hotel.

Beautiful bulding and surroundingsPosted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Excellent. I choose the Hotel due to a picture on Hotels com and my expectations were totally fullfilled. It is an historic building with the most beautiful gardens and parks. The staff was very friendly and the dinner was delicious. I shall recommend it and we will try to return as soon as possible

Lovely location with sheep and lambs on the surrounding fields, very friendly staff. there was a wedding on but did not interfere with our stay. Could not even hear the wedding party in our room. The food did not come up to a standard of £30 per head, although the breakfast scrambled egg was to my wifes satisfaction, Gorgeous!

Came here as part of my mums 60th birthday and she and the rest of us loved it and the response I got was "wow"!! I've been here before to a wedding and glad to come back as this place is breathtaking and peaceful. Recommend to all :-)

The hotel's location and building is fantastic. The fact that they allow dogs is great and overall the staff were nice and friendly. The only negative was the quality of the food at dinner, plus some of the small touches... like the shower head not being particularly clean or shampoo/soaps in the room being low quality. Would definitely go back again though as lots of nice places to eat a short drive away

All was good except I could hear people in room above me walking. It was not too bad. Very nice area to stay in
