A good Holiday Inn. Friendly staff and good service. Room very good and good wifi + mobile reception. Ample (free) parking. Located slighty off Mway, so quiet rooms and good night's sleep!

Felt very comfortable

I don't enjoy staying in hotels on my own for business but it's often required. I felt very comfortable at this hotel, staff were nice, room was cosy, room service was quick and still hot and the chill con carne was very tasty. I liked the pool although the changing facilities and showers are a little on the small side! Enjoyed my stay though and will be staying again.

Aisappointing

It's only a Holiday Inn so there is only so much you can expect but for £100 (non refundable) for the night, the 'executive room' we had was a bit small and there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor. The room however was clean and well furnished. Similar to other Holiday Inns, I don't understand why bedside plug sockets are so inaccessible for those who need to charge phones overnight. The breakfast, as with other HIs, is massively overpriced at £13.99 with no cheaper alternatives so you need to eat everything to make it worthwhile. The food itself isn't bad, just not worth that price outside of London. The staff were generally very pleasant and friendly for New Year's Eve. I even forgave the rudeness from some of the waiting staff the next morning as I'm sure they'd prefer to be elsewhere. Our visit was to get away from the noise and chaos of a busy December and I was looking forward to a steam room, Jacuzzi and a quiet night in. I know it's NYE so the last one can be tricky to achieve but given that we called and web-chatted to HI in advance to confirm their facilities and was even told by reception that the spa was open til 10pm as we arrived, it was a bit disappointing that not only did it close at 6 but there was a 2-hour waiting list to use the pool and when we did get in, the steam room was broken, the sauna was cold and the tiny pool was full of screaming children. It is far more family-oriented than the other reviews and websites I had read suggested. I expected more of a business hotel that wouldn't have been as chaotic. I travel around quiet a bit and have stayed at many hotels across the UK and this is by no means the worst but I expected and wanted more and as soon as you feel disappointed, you start to pick holes in everything.

Thank you for your comments following your recent stay. I was sorry to hear that not everything was to your satisfaction, and there are obvious communication issues which we need to address. With regards to breakfast, there are bed & breakfast rates that are always available, which will make considerable savings for you. It is also possible to upgrade to breakfast on arrival for similar savings. I do hope that your experience does not deter you from using the hotel & brand in the future Alan Northern General Manager

Good pool

Always enjoy our stays at Holiday Inn Bromsgrove, in particular the ability to use the pool. Great breakfast. Only disappointment was the bar meal (chicken curry) - not much flavour. We'll be back but might bring our own take away.

everything was just great, there was a party on but come 12.00pm we never heard a thing , music stopped or was turned down, people were considerate and quiet , food was great and very clean and comfortable hotel will stay agian
