I booked because of the 9/10 rating which I think probably 2-5 / 10 is not appropriate. The room layout is awkward, furniture is dated and broken. Location is not quite nice neither. Don’t not recommend to stay there.

The staff is not well versed in English. The concierge was a trainee and didn’t have any restaurant recommendations. The front desk for the majority not helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean

One the best in wuxi
Stayed here for 3 nights for business trip and the room is spacious and well-furnished, certainly deserving of its 5 star status. Around 30 mins walk or 10 rmb taxi ride to nan chang street - main attraction for both locals and tourists

Excellent Staycation
It was an excellent stay at Intercontinental WuXi as this was our first time visiting the city. The staff at reception was polite and courteous. We booked an Executive Suites and we were told that it was 70m square large and there's only one room in each floor. The city view was magnificent from the glass window of the room. Buffet breakfast spread was wide but the restaurant was kinda packed as they were many people to fight for the space and food. Anyway, we managed to fill our stomach and quickly left the restaurant for other excursions. Overall, it was pleasant and we will consider coming back here for our next visit.

Beautiful hotel, outstanding breakfast... most diverse layout I've experienced. WiFi was subpar, however the plug--in Internet was fine. I had better WiFi on the plane. Cleaning staff took slippers from the closet and laid them out for me! So very nice.

In Wuxi for the Fencing World Championships 2018
The Intercontinental was truly a 5 star hotel for the property and the service. The area was a little desolate and for some reason, I had a hard time finding restaurants in the hotel but I really enjoyed my stay. The buffet breakfast was the best! I went to the Crown Plaza and the Kingstown for breakfast to meet friends but the Intercontinental was by far the most variety as well as quality. I'm definitely staying there the next time I'm in Wuxi. Wi-fi could use some improvement though.

Very nice hotel with spacious and well equipped rooms. The only thing I disliked; seen in almost all Chinese hotels is the huge window between the room and the bathroom, limiting privacy but at least this one had solid shades unlike some others with semi-transparent ones. The staff is nice and helpful but with limited English

Check in was bad. They could not find my reservation. I showed my print out. No use. English was very limited. Checking out they could not find my airport taxi booking. English terrible still. Breakfast buffet has slumped. Food quality not like it was. Coffee cup only 1/2 full. No refills. Selection of pastries limited. Seating has become bunk house style . Many strangers at one table. some ate like pigs.

Relatively centrally located, nice staff, clean
Only stayed one night, and overall a decent experience. Centrally located, short walk to touristy parts of town. Decent facilities like the pool & gym, kind staff (weak on the English, but eventually the GM came out when we had an issue). Breakfast was fantastic — awesome buffet selection and quality was great.

A hotel unforgettable.
The indoor swimming pool is fantastic. Warm even in cold winter. Attentive service. Staff helpful and wear smiles. Breakfast is international standard should not be missed. Subway is 5 min walk. But only one shopping mall at 15min walk. Hotel is 3 mrt stations away from city main shopping centre. Ideal for relaxation . Room is spacious with great view.

High above all birdview from our room no 33312.big n spacious room with nice sofas n hard bed. ..as my husband was sick during one of the day stay,we decided to stay in and house keeping dept was concerned and called if there was any thing needef since it was not meant to be disturbed. ..very attentive staff and will not hesitate to recommend to friends n for ourself going back there again

Luxury in Wuxi
This hotel was incredibly luxurious - from the lobby to the room to the pool to the hallway, I felt surrounded by excellent appointments. Loved the locker room to the pool, with electronic access to personal locker with towel and slippers ready for you. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had multiple options, including authentic asian fare and familiar western foods. Location excellent. Ask for a room with a view of Taihu Square!

Amazing accommodations
This is a true 5-star hotel. From the moment you walk in the hotel feels like a top notch facility. The rooms were very large and designed with elegance, especially the bathroom. The service, cleanliness, and restaurant were all excellent.

Friendly and warm
During our five days of holiday, we enjoyed the the hospitality and the friendly service given by personal. We got the feeling to be realy arriving home after a day visiting the old site of town, or visiting the shopping malls. These were all in walking distance from the Hotel. The breakfast is a must and a delight for every nationality. The evening can be filled with a nice hot spring pool for relaxation or some sport in the swimming pool and very well equipped fitness area, next with hairdresser shop access. The prices are more then reasonable. This Hotel can be recommended for business or pleasure. Loved it!!

We recently stayed here for business a few weeks ago. The hotel staff is very nice. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the room. GREAT breakfast buffet, one of the best I have ever seen. Good location.
