“Perfect place when you need a simple, inexpensive place to rest for a few short hours.”

We were moving from GA to PA. It was approximately halfway and we needed a pet friendly, inexpensive place to simply rest for a few hours. Worked out fine for what we needed it for. One thing I was disappointed with was the size of the beds. They were on the small side of double.

“so so hotel”

Not a welcoming hotel when arriving or leaving. Wifi didnot work so I had to go to parking lot in hotel next door. Room was clean and price of stay was good. Its just a good place to sleep, dont expect anything more.

Area recommendations
We didnt look anyplace else. We had the hotel to sleep in.

“"Fine for the price"”

There was nothing special about this hotel. The breakfast was a little on the disappointing side, but overall it was fine for the price. It was clean, reasonably priced and very convient to 77 and 81.

Claytor Lake was wonderful and so was Randolph Park.

“Good one night stay; Wifi limited.”

Hotel was OK for a one night stay considering the price. Nothing fancy, used but clean. Wifi was pathetic, slower than dial-up if you could even get connected. Don't stay here if you need to use the internet .

“Good location, good price.”

Room was spacious & bed was comfortable, great price with continental breakfast. Clean, quiet. There was a slight smell in the room - a mix of Febreze and a sour smell. No fan or heat light in the bath. Very few outlets to set up iron. Breakfast was in the lobby which was very nice and had tables & chairs for about 20. Continental breakfast included 3 dry cereals, packets of oatmeal or grits, bagels, danishes, pancakes & syrup, toast, orange or apple juice, milk, coffee, tea. Nice town, easy access by interstate.

Area recommendations
Have to visit the Log House downtown - an amazing old historic restaurant, garden and gift shop with great food.

“We will stay here again”

We were very satified with the hotel and appreciated the fact that they changed our room to 2 beds as our daughter and grandson ended up making the trip with us at no additional charge. The staff was helpful with infomation and nice to us even though we arrived in the middle of the night. The bathroom could use a fan as everything steams up when the shower is used. The room was clean and we slept well.

Area recommendations
WE were on our way to Ohio for a funeral and only stayed 1 night.

“second time we have stayed there, very pleased”

If we are in the area again we will stay at Travelodge. Service was very good at check in and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

“Would Never Go Back”

I expected that a Travelodge would be generally good, but we were very disgusted to find the bathroom floors dirty and sticky. The mirrors weren't cleaned. There were pieces of the faucet handles missing. The hallway wreaked of smoke, even though our room didn't. The continental breakfast was chintzy and cheap. The sheets at least appeared to be clean.

Area recommendations
Wytheville as an area is alright, but the hotel wasn't. It looked really nice, up on a hill, and we would never have guessed until we entered the building, that the establishment would not meet expectations.
