I pampered myself

Posted Jun 15, 2014
After I had Lasik surgery, I stayed here b/c 4 kids & hardwood flooring going in at home would not be restful. My room was quiet, dark & comfy. The staff was excellent. Went above & beyond. 2 employees were concerned if I had transportation after the surgery (I did) but it was great they asked

Convenient locaton

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Outdoor pool, on site restaurant/bar.
Cons: Elevator might need repairs and remedy cigarette smell.
Location: We drove about 10 miles to Yellow Springs for the day and then about 20 miles to downtown Dayton the next. It was centrally located.
The hotel was average, but you get what you pay for. I was pleased by the friendly staff and the overall cleanliness. The room was small and the fridge/microwave were just shoved in where they would fit (next to the foot of the bed). The elevator was sketchy, but it worked. And although the lobby appeared to be smoke free, it definitely smelled of stale cigarettes. But for $80 a night, I was happy with the choice.

Pros: It was close to were all of our activities were taking place.
The hotel was o.k., but we had a lavatory that leaked like a sieve. We did not report it until we left, but from the looks of the carpet under the sink I am sure it was not a new problem. We spent most of out time out of the motel and only slept there. We were there three days and the cleaning staff only made the bed and picked up the towels in the bathroom--they did absolutely nothing else like empty the ice bucket or leave us any clean glasses. The ice machine on the 4th floor did not make ice so we always had to go the 2nd floor; The breakfast staff was great and very accommodating.

Terrible stay

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Nothing is good about this hotel.
Cons: Everything needs to be updated and improved.
Nothing was done and he reiterated that I would have to contact Expedia. I asked him to have the general manager contact me. Forty eight hours later I still have not had a phone call.

Old, dated...Ramada s/b ashamed..amazing staff tho

Posted May 19, 2014
The ownership group of this hotel should be ashamed. The only reason why this was not rated lower was because the staff went over and above with their customer service. An amazing group of people. Those employees must be the reason the hotel is still in business. Ramada...consider yourself lucky!
