Pros: Clean, large rooms!
Location: Did not venture beyond hotel as on business trip and had no time to explore :-(

Can't ask for more.Posted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: I commend especially the housekeeping staff -- the friendliest and most helpful housekeeping staff I have ever met in any country/hotel I have been in
Cons: Breakfast could be better managed -- at peak periods it can resemble a bit of a free-for-all.
Stayed 11 nights while in Xiamen on research trip. The Pan Pacific really met my every need. Hotel itself is not the most modern or the newest but I don't think this should be seen as a negative at all. Hotel location is convenient -- always a ready supply of taxis and a very helpful doorman who will flag them for you. Room I stayed in was comfortable, double bed and a large working desk -- which I found particularly useful. Hotel is also very clean -- not just in my room, but all areas are neat and very pleasant. Dining in this hotel was very good -- the dim sum at Hai Tien Lo is really especially good. Room service reasonably priced and tasty. Did not manage to find the time to try the famous steak though -- maybe next time. I found breakfast to be OK, maybe more selection would have been better, but it's alright, although the restaurant did get a bit crowded at times. Hotel laundry also very efficient. Staff at Business Centre also very helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel with honest staffsPosted Oct 27, 2013
We moved to this hotel because our previous hotel had bad internet connection, electric plugs, dark room and corridors and smell of cigarette smoke. Pan Pacific is one of the nicest hotel that we have ever stayed. The room was very nice, clean and bright. Had a shower and a bathtub with complete accessories. On our first night, they gave us fruits. Breakfast was excellent. Staffs were very helpful and honest. I left a stack of money on the bed as I went for breakfast in a hurry . The money was not taken. I appreciated her honesty.

Great hotel for business and leisurePosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Price, quality, Location
Location: Good restaurants within walking distance
I have stayed in Xiamen for business probably 10 times in the last five years. I have stayed at primarily five-star hotels and with only one exception I have never stayed at the same one twice. I can tell you for the price, Pan Pacific is the best value I have found in Xiamen. Excellent room, excellent service and a good breakfast.

Good room service menuPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've sometimes found when I order room service or restaurant food in Chinese Hotels that the "Western" food choices arrive looking and tasting nothing like described on the menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the Pan Pac Xiamen - the food was what it promised to be and was delicious! Comfortable room and good service and would stay there again if in Xiamen.

Pros: Happy hour at the executive lounge.

I would recommend.Posted May 15, 2012
This hotel was great- large rooms, very clean, staff is great. Check out took a long time, and DO NOT EXCHANGE money here- the rates are a rip off, but the room service food is good- and the value for money, excellent! I continue to return again and again!

tourist hotelPosted Nov 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
I am traveling to Xiamen for business. I have been staying this hotel for many years before Pan Pacifc took over. I see that this hotel is geared to more tourist oriented. There is less choices in the breakfast buffet.

Pan Pacific Hotel, XiamenPosted Oct 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel was very comfortable, I would certainly recomend it to other travellers. Spa, was being refurbished during my stay, so can't comment on that. ( Might have been nice for "Hotels.com" to have advised that at time of booking!
