Very smart hotel in a great, quiet central spot.Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Location Room rate great value for money Quiet Smart
Cons: Breakfast was a silly ( expensive) price
Location: Walk the old city walls Terracotta Warriors Emperor Jingdi's tomb
Located within the old city walls, the hotel is part of an area of smart hotels, restaurants and a theatre in a leafy and unbelievably quiet area known as Renmin Square. The Sofitel hotel is the landmark building on the main road which most taxis will get you to and the Mercure is in the square behind this. Loved the location and staff were extremely helpful and spoke good english. The room was lovely and the hotel overall is finished to a high standard. The room rate was astonishingly good value for the location but I felt anything extra, like breakfast was very, very expensive for China so ended up eating out.

Nice complex, very securePosted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: The hotel complex was very pleasant and nice. Our room overlooked a school's soccer field, which was fun. T
Cons: The breakfast could have more quality and less quantity.
While they said they gave us a king bed, it was just a double. Yet the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive, but not great. Adequate would best describe it.

Solid hotel, convenient locationPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Location was nice and convenient. Hotel was clean and simple.
Cons: Rooms seemed a bit small.
Hotel was clean, rooms were functional if a bit small. The hotel shares a campus with other hotels, which allowed us to use the Sofitel facilities (pool, gym, restaurants). That was convenient, due to the proximity and the English speaking staff. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind.

Service Beyond ExpectationPosted Aug 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
One of the best customers services I ever got. I felt so pampered by the housekeepers because they did a great job with the turndown service; consistently excellent throughout my four nights stay. The rest of the staffs were very courteous and did their very best to meet my needs. They provided excellent customer service. I loved the privacy and security of the hotel location at Renmin Square. Highly recommended - a great place to stay.
