My wife and I enjoyed our five days at Catalonia Royal Tulum. It is a little bit of a drive from the airport in Cancun, but, it was worth it.
This is a smaller resort with a very hard working staff. The food and service were fine. You don't have to wait or make reservations for any of the restaurants. The entertainment was better than I expected and always enthusiastic.
This resort is also very eco-friendly. Coatimundis, birds, agouti and iguanas can be seen daily, roaming the forest areas, adjacent to the main resort path.
If you are looking for a smaller, slower pace in Riveria Maya, you may want to consider Catalonia Royal Tulum.
This Xpu-Ha resort is set on its own private beach, a short distance from Xpu-ha Beach, Ecopark Kantun Chi, and Taj Mahal …More
Just south of Puerto Aventuras, Xpu-Ha’s broad, powdery, white-sand beach is widely regarded among the peninsula’s most beautiful. There’s plenty of room to string up a hammock and relax, sunbathe, or swim in the surf.
