Excellent ServicePosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: Definitely the people, then food, then accommodation.
Location: Close to down town Caenarfon and of course the castle. Very easy to get to.
Very nice people ... take the time to talk about the local culture, environment. Really enjoyed meeting with Mandy, the owner of the establishment. The food was absolutely superb (which was very very unexpected). Coming from NYC, I have high expectation. Definitely go for the pasta with alfredo sauce and tikka chicken ... a bit diverse but they did a great job on all the dishes. Location is very good ... short drive to Caenarfon Castle.

Very nice hotel but a bit tired.Posted Apr 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Had a enjoyable 2 nights at the hotel, very friendly staff and super service. Nice location if you have a car to get you around. Easy to get in to snowdonia national park from the hotel. Would go back to the same hotel in the future.

Hotel is very tired, and way too expensive for what it is. Kitchen shuts too early, and it's low budget b+b by my standards. He location is good though, the rest isn't.

A gem not to be missed.Posted Jun 26, 2012
Pros: Staff, views and ambience.
Location: Seems to be in a remote spot but there were so many sights and attractions nearby eg. Conwy Castle, long named station, Anglesea, Holyhead and more.
A great hotel, all staff super, especially Mandy and her young offsider. Made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door, nothing was too much trouble. This hotel is a hidden gem, one that reflects northern and slightly remote Wales, views great, location great but the staff really made this a marvelous experience for us. Highly recommend this hotel to all. Thanks Mandy, you made our stay really special.

Great LocationPosted May 2, 2011
Wonderful suite rather than just a room. Outdoor balcony facing due West over the water was a great bonus.

This hotel is next to a marina and so has lovely views. The reception were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel does lack car parking facilties as a car per room as well as the hotel staff do not fit in the car park and I had to drive around and wait for a space sometimes. I went on bank holiday though and was very busy. Trying to find food in the local area after 8pm was a complete diaster, ended up in macdonalds as no where else were serving still. This really impacted our trip away and wished I hadn't stayed here and maybe stayed more central to Bangor where there would be more than just 2 pubs/restuarants. Being next to a marina I thought it would have had alot more acitvity. Breakfast cost extra money and quite a bit at that. Although it was very pleasent in the conservatory; had crossants, toast, crumpets, cereals, juices, tea, coffee etc available as well as the facilty to order hot food like egg and bacon. In terms of how much the stay cost me, the hotel didn't really live up to its reviews/descriptions on online. But most hotels are like that I suppose. Personally I wouldn't go back.
