“Great Hotel, Location and Price”

Extremely satisfied -- do not eat at the resort next door, go into town where they have amazing local food!

“Nice views; easy tidepool access”

Walk into Yachats and eat at the Luna Sea cafe! The trail along the beach is great.

“great motel for couples”

Beautiful location right on the Coast Trail; nice staff, off Highway 101 even though the address would make you think it's right on that busy road; adequate breakfast provided.

“Oregon Beach great location”

Lovely location on Oregon coast beach with lots of crashing waves. Breakfast/coffee wasn't available until 7:30am, a bit late for me. Highly recommend this hotel and location for a great vacation. Ate at Ona's restaurant which I also highly recommend.

“Great coastal retreat.”

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was warm and friendly, and gave us good advice. We found a nice, big room with a wonderful ocean view, a nice gas fireplace to make our room cozy as we watched the blustery weather beyond the deck. And a great continental breakfast waited for us in the lobby the next morning.

“My favorite coast getaway”

The room was fresh and clean and the small windows that could be left open for the sea air and sounds all the time made for a great night's sleep. We had a balcony, oceanfront, and that was wonderful, as we could watch the surf in comfort with our morning coffee. This was not my first visit to the Fireside, so I knew about the great trail along the bluff. Great way to begin or end a day and walk off the ample meals from nearby restaurants. Staff were efficient, but unobtrusive. This is my favorite place to stay on the Oregon coast. It is well run, comfortable, quiet, and the location is just about perfect. This would not be the best location for families with children, however, as it is a rocky coast here with strong surf and tides and without wide stretches of sand.

“We'll be back!”

A very positive experience. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Large, quiet, well insulated and comfortable room. No obvious blemishes. Spectacular view of ocean surf pounding the rocks just 150 feet away from small but acceptable deck. All in all, well worth the price. As they say, location is everything.

“Very good stay”

Great location. Right on the beach. Very easy to reach. We stayed in room #2 that did not face the ocean. But it didn't matter because the sea is just a step away. This is not a place for you if you are very touchy about the noise. Rooms are not very sound-proof. Ocean sound, noise from other rooms, and the footsteps from the floor above may bother you. We did not have any trouble.

“comfortable”

This is a reasonably priced hotel in a superb location. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable--if also a bit dated.
