Easy Access to Downtown

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Super Comfy Bed
Cons: Unable to use the wifi - had to go to front desk to login, couldn't do access to begin with from my room
I had a great stay in this hotel - really convenient to the Downtown area of Yellowknife and I liked the fact that you can access the mall from the front desk

Noisy and staff inefficient

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The noise
Location: The location is good city centre but the hotel is not good.
Arrival at 10.30 PM, the office desk cannot find our reservation, after more than15mn we have a key, and we are going up to the third floor, the key doesn't work so we are going back to the reception, a staff coming with us, and discover than the room was occupied, so back to the reception to find another room available. The room was very small with 2 double bed and a fridge very noisy. The room was in front of the road also very noisy, day and night. During the 4 days of our stay, we have to remake our keys even several times per day. For the breakfast only one person to do the service during a busy week end.

Nice clean hotel in a great location!

Had a few issues my first night stay, however the reception Sandra and cleaning staff manager Jo took care of everything in the morning and the rest of my stay was warm and fabulous. Ps. There's a lounge in the same building that was playing live music on Friday night. I experienced great chill musical talent with some of the best french onion soup I've ever had!

Room photos shown on your site is not correct

The rooms are so much smaller, older, the double bed is almost like a twin bed! The housekeeping is horrible.

Underskilled Front Desk Staff

Posted Feb 13, 2014
Pros: Middle of Downtown and Inside a Mall.
Cons: Front Desk Staff & Room Heating System. In Room Luggage Table
Location: Business, Shopping, Dinning
1. Check-in takes longer then 45 Minutes, Even though we had a confirmed reservation. 2. Room Heating System barely heatup room.

Meh

Posted Feb 8, 2014
Pros: good location
There is a smell in the whole hotel, small, outdated rooms, poor service from the front desk people. Thin walls - you can hear everything! Bed was only a double, but fairly comfortable.

Wouldn't stay there again

Posted Jan 17, 2014
Well they couldn't find our reservation, they had a stack of papers that where reservations that they yet to put in. The lady at the front desk kept wanting my credit card, which I wasn't willing to give since I already paid through expedia. Finally after 30 min of searching she got someone to go look by the fax machine. 30 mins later again he finally came up with more papers. After hour ans a half she finally found my reservation but couldn't get the expedia MasterCard to go through. After 2 hours of sitting and waiting in the lobby, I told the lady I couldn't wait anylonger. My sister was in the hospital in labour, that was the whole reason of my trip. I gave her my number to call me. Never got a call. By the time we came back at 7pm. A different lady was working, and sure enough she couldn't find it either. Finally she found it and we got a parking pass. The parking lot is 2 blocks away and you have to walk in the freezing cold. We got to our rooms and it wasn't even the rooms we booked. My room was a size of a bathroom when I booked a deluxe! My dad got the right room so I could tell the difference. By that time I had enough. I didn't want to wait another 5 hours to get the correct room. Any restraunts they show on there website is misleading. NONE of them are open, no security! Drunks walking all over the place ans only 1 staff working plus the maintenance guy. Oh and to get back to your vehicle there is no entry way, you go in the same way you came in with your car!
