Fantastic placePosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, amenities
Location: Restaurants and activities in Cody are close, as well as Yellowstone
We really enjoyed our stay at the Wapiti Lodge! The room was comfortably appointed, and clean as a whistle. The views of the river and mountains were beautiful. The ping pong, pool, and horseshoes kept the kiddo entertained. We were close to Yellowstone. The breakfast was great, we lived the fresh hot waffles! Would definitely stay again.

Great spot to stop just outside YellowstonePosted Jul 15, 2013
We realized at some point driving through the Bighorns that we were not going to arrive at what we would call a typical check in time, so we called Wapiti Lodge and spoke with one of the owners, who was very accommodating. The lodge is located right on the road to the east entrance of Yellowstone, so if you're looking for someplace a bit removed from the hustle and bustle, this isn't it. However, the room was quiet, and we couldn't hear much traffic even though it was right outside our front door. They've done a beautiful job remodeling and updating the place, with flat screen tv's, comfortable beds, and a handy little kitchenette. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean & friendlyPosted Jun 28, 2013
Pros: Room was big and very clean.
Location: Nothing close, which is one of the things we liked. A short drive to downtown Cody and great restaurant nearby.
Hotel open only 1 year so everything new and clean. Owners were friendly and helpful. Our room was large, with small kitchen area. Bed was very soft - almost too soft, but we were there only one night so it was fine. Hotel is easy to find, right along major road, but our room was in the back and very quiet. Owners recommended restaurant for dinner that was wonderful. Continental breakfast was good, comparable to other hotels.

Location: Yellowstone National Park, Cody Wyoming, Cody Dam and plenty of places to go horseback ridding.
Located close to the east entrance of Yellowstone and Cody Wyoming. Plenty to do in the area, to include Horse Back Ridding. Facility also had ping pong table, pool table, horseshoes etc....Good breakfast. Nice large clean facility with plenty of amenities. Would stay there again. Staff was outstanding.

The best choice for the price, by far!Posted Aug 18, 2012
Pros: Hayden room was great. Cozy, great beds, super shower! Wonderful variety at the continental breakfast! Doug & Jayne are super friendly & helpful.
Cons: The cabin is fine but needs some attention to bring it up to the standards of the other rooms.
Location: 2 hours from Old Faithful and 15 min from Cody.
Great place to stay! We spent one night in Hayden room & decided to extend our stay to see more of Yellowstone. They put us in the Cabin for the same price. Hayden rates a 5 and the Cabin a 3 or 4. Great towels, beds and seating in both rooms. Would definitely stay there again!

Loved Wapiti!Posted Jun 10, 2012
Pros: The beds, the game room for the kids, the continental breakfast, the view, the location.
Cons: I can't think of anything negative
Location: 30 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone, 18 miles outside of Cody, Wy. Very well located, great sceneray.
We had an outstanding experience at the Wapiti lodge. We really enjoyed visiting with Doug and Jayne, they had some great advice for us on Yellowstone. It's an easy 30 miles from the East entrance. The lodge itself is over 100 years old and they've put a lot of work in the renovation, it feels brand new! We weren't sure what to expect, but couldn't have been happier. The beds were very comfortable and the lodge itself was better than we ever imagined! We really enjoyed visiting with Doug and Jayne and hearing the history of the lodge. They're the type of people you just really root for to win and be succesful. With their outgoing and friendly personality, I have no doubt they will be succesful with this lodge! Stay there! There is a great gas station and supply store within 3 miles that we loved as well
