FILTHY HOTEL not recommendablePosted Oct 6, 2013
Location: About 20 minutes walking from Republic Square where all action is happening.
The room was extremely dirty, too the point of being of health concerns. Walking from the shower to the bed would leave the sole of the feet dark black. Cleanliness of towels was questionable. The A/C was not working, so had to sleep with windows open, smelling the exhaust of vehicles passing on the busy street below (6 lanes) and obviously hearing the noise. The safety box was not fixed inside the room so anyone could walk out of the room carrying it. It is a hotel of Soviet era with dimmed lights, even while having breakfast.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The staff checked us into the wrong rooms and then alleged that this was our fault when we returned to the hotel several hours later. Almost all of the gym equipment was broken and the pool and sauna was tiny. The hotel looked considerably different than the pictures on the website, is over priced and the staff are very rude. To comound matters- I met a girl one night and brought her back to the hotel and the staff refused to allow her to stay. This has never happened me in any hotel in any country I've ever stayed in!!! The hotel staff stopped me from getting my rocks off. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Ani Plaza or Best Western Congress is much better.
