Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly staff
Cons: Perhaps some meat and eggs on breakfast bar
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of care and cleanliness since we booked our stay online so was basically sight unseen. Upon arrival, we were a little anxious because the outside is a bit dated, but the room was well furnished and decorated as well as very clean. We would certainly recommend The Palmer House to anyone staying in or around York.

Great place to stay!

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: cleanliness and comfort of the rooms
Cons: A breakfast w/eggs and sausages would be nice.
Location: About 1 mile off the interstate w/lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
This motel is a little older than the new chain places but it was clean, comfortable and convenient to the interstate. The rooms are modern and extremely clean w/comfy beds that give a restful nights sleep. The breakfast is better than some w/hot biscuits & gravy as well as fruit, cereals and all the juices and coffee. The price is reasonable and the staff make you feel like you're at home-strong recommendation!

Don't let exterior concern you

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Room was clean, bed comfortable and staff friendly.
Cons: Website should specify that there are additional charges for children over 12, especially since you put the ages in the reservation request.
Location: Passing through
The exterior of the motel is older looking but the facility is well kept up and room was very comfortable. Breakfast was also good; waffles, sweet rolls, biscuits and gravy, cereals, hard boiled eggs, fruit, toast. Traveled with wife and three grandsons and they enjoyed the outdoor pool. Room said it could handle 5-6 but there are only two queen beds in room, need to ask for rollaway if you have more than four.

A good hotel wrapped in a so so exterior.

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness of the well maintained room.
Cons: The exterior needs to be better landscaped.
Location: I already did.
We brought along our two dogs. The room was immaculate despite being a designated pet room. The beds were firm. The sheets were clean and taut under a light blanket.(It was August) The air conditioner was quiet and effective. Our son did laps in a well maintained pool. Just down the street is a great steak house called, "Chances R". Despite the common appearance of the property, this property distinguishes itself.

Our Stay

Posted Jun 23, 2014
The room wasn't worth what we paid. It seemed clean enough. The king bed was older and spongy. There were 1/4 inch spaces around the entry door. Hmmm room for bugs to enter. It wasn't up to my expectations. We slept well due to traveling for 12 hours.

Comfortable stay in York

Posted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is an older motel, but the rooms are clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and breakfast included homemade cinnamon rolls. The motel is fairly rural--away from the cluster of hotels and restaurants just off I-80 and a few minutes drive to downtown York. I would definitely stay here again.

Great spot for stop over on way to Wyoming.

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Qilts on the beds. Clean, quiet. Good breakfast.
Cons: More seating in the breakfast area.
Location: Location is a bit remote. Did not do anything nearby so not sure what is around.
Stayed here on journey from Texas to Wyoming. Clean comfortable room, friendly staff, and was able to park with trailer right next to my door. Location is a bit out in the sticks as my son put it but only a mile or so from the interstate. Was able to open the window for air with not much noise.

Nice clean motel...just what we needed for a place to stop between Indiana and Colorado. Nothing fancy but clean and quiet and priced right.

Nice little gem

Well maintained, clean, and pleasant. Great value. Only negative was the mattress a little old. Would stay again. Side note; the prime rib buffet at the Chances R restaurant in town is tremendous.
