“A Comfortable Stay”
Spacious rooms in a quite environment.
“Accomodation outside Yosemite”
In downtown Mariposa. 45 minute drive from south Yosemite entrance. Room was fine. Mattresses could be better or replaced. Room had refridgerator. No breakfast at motel. There is a good supermarket in the town where you can buy sandwich things for picnic lunches.
“was conveniently located to Yosemite”
For the price, location and name of hotel, I was impressed. Beds comfortable enough, certanly not a Embassy suites, but for a rule location it was wonderful.
“Poor phone service.”
Called the desk twice & could not get my long distance service turned on, thus I could not use my calling card & there was no cell service in the area.
“good value, even in tourist area”
Hotel has all you need, service was only needed at check-in.
“Older with class”
This is an older family run motel with mature landscaping and a down home feeling. It has pleasing curb appeal and a homey look. Our bathroom looked like it had recently been upgraded, and the small fridge and microway were a nice touch. If your're visiting Yosemite, this is a great place to stay.
“One of the best values I've run across”
This hotel was a delightful surprise. We booked the room at the last minute at an incredible rate. It was centrally located, comfortable, clean, nicely furnished and had in-room coffee (a big PLUS!). The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it. We plan to stay there the next time we are in Mariposa.
“Nice stay”
Good sleep. Noisy Airco's.
“It is called the Mariposa Lodge.”
I chose this hotel because of its excellent reviews. It is a good place, but I was not as impressed with the grounds as others were. The hot tub is excellent after a long day. The location is perfect although if you are doing Yosemite, I would try to stay closer, perhaps El Portal. Why can't American hotels have those small, silent air conditioners we experienced in Europe?
“Mariposa's best kept secret”
Loved the experience the motel is simple but clean. The grounds are spectacular and it's pet friendly, staff very accomadating.
