“Cooper House is like going home”
If lounging on the beautiful porch sipping wine, relaxing on our private back deck via candlelight and snoozing in the incredibly comfortable king size bed wasn't enough, Tey, the innkeeper at the Cooper House, wowed us every morning of our stay with THE best breakfast...cooked to order! Tey says, "I hate casserole breakfasts whenever I stay at B&B's so I make a point here to serve breakfasts fresh and made to order. It isn't all that much more work, really." And let me tell you, as a guest, you're the recipient of that philosophy. His baked eggs and french toast are particularly scrumptious. My husband said he had never tasted orange juice as creamy and delicious. We stayed in the Chardonnay room with a bathroom right next door which wasn't all that much of a bother. And we had the private deck. Everywhere Tey referred us, from hiking and swimming at Natural Bridges, gold panning with Mike who works out of his place on Main Street in Angels Camp, dinner at Camps at the local golf course, Alchemy in Murphys, to all the winery tastings was spot on. We didn't want to stay at a chain hotel and the Cooper House was perfect. I definitely recommend it and will definitely be back!
“Had a fabulous time”
Tey was the perfect host. The house was charming with a cozy fire burning in the living room. Breakfast was made to order and delicious! The bed and robes were comfy. Snacks, soda, wine, and beer were complimentary. Loved it and enjoyed conversation with our host. Hope to return.
“A wonderful experience”
The Cooper House Bed & Breakfast is wonderful! Tey is a wonderful cook and Rob, an attentive waiter. Both are great hosts who are there whenever you need them, but allow you privacy otherwise. It felt like we were staying in a close friends' home. The home and garden are beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Cabernet room which has an attached sitting room. Our girls, 5 and 8, stayed in the sitting room in two twin beds. They loved reading by the sunlight coming in through the gorgeous windows opening up into the garden. We highly recommend this "home away from home".
