Great location in Yosemite valley

Posted Apr 22, 2015
My partner and I stayed in a heated tent for two nights in April 2015. The location is perfect as you are in the centre of the valley and do not need to drive in and out of the national park each day. The tent is as expected it is a canvas tent over a wooden frame and is a bit dusty etc. for the price this was a great find. The food was a bit dissappointing for the price (especially as you can't keep food in the rents due to Bears) the food for us for two days was doable but if you stay a week you may want to organise some food to keep in your bear locker or stay in a cabin. Showers were okay and werent busy in the evening we showered

Curry Village is AMAZING

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Amazing location -- out the door of the tent and Half Dome is RIGHT THERE. The heater was sufficient, although if people had been in the other beds they'd have been out of luck, as we used ALL the blankets. Good to bring sleeping bags if you stay before April 15. The Guest Lounge was a lively place for conversation with lots of interesting people. Lots of folks eating meals, playing games, reading and talking. If you are able to handle some level of roughing it, this is a great, economical option, which we would certainly do again.

Great stop over!

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Was a great experience but wouldn't want to do it for more than one night! Was surprisingly warm in our heated tent. Found the shops very expensive so stock up before you hit Yosemite!

camp curry

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: The atmosphere and location.
Cons: Outhouses are disgusting, but may have helped with the toilet clogging problem.
Location: The location is right in Yosemite Village and there was a free shuttle system to many locations.
Check in at 5 pm was a long process as guests were asking questions regarding Yosemite and hiking rather than just checking in. Check in would have been much faster had those questions been directed elsewhere. Our tent had an extreme must smell and was very dusty, but once you got used to that it was quite comfortable, spacious and warm. We were placed right in the middle of a group camp. The students were very loud. We had no choice but to get up with them at 6 am; although, they did respect the quiet hours. Bathrooms were in a whole league of their own. They smelled awful, were filthy most of the time, there was nearly always a line and more often than not the toilets didn't work. Dining choices in Curry Village were extremely limited but the pizza was good. (You cannot do your own cooking) Had the bathroom situation been better, I may have recommended.

Great camp experience

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Since we were close to everything we were able to pack in lots of activities. The heated tent was great and our boys ages 10 and 12 had a great time exploring. We loved the hike to verbal falls and mirror lake. Breakfasts were great at the curry village cafe . We look forward to coming back!

Into the wood

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: sleeping in the middle of the forest
Cons: Organized more things to do into the camp during the season ! Warn that you have to sign up forthe night experience in an other hotel
Location: You can do climbing, biking and walking. Nice restaurant in the other "villages"
Nice place but nothing to do during the winter season (in march) everything was closed for the season a beautiful sun and no snow. That was a little bit disappointing. Bring your own blanket if you don't want to be cold at night The Breakfast at the coffee corner was first arrived first served (for the choice of food) but the good point was to eat outside with wild squirrels

Best Camp ever! I had a blast with my family. Friend told me about Camp Curry just what he said it was going to be like.
