CV is the quintessential Yosemite experiernce. Strongly recommend a heated tent. Great pizza on site. Don't count on the wifi working either.

Perfect location in the Yosemite valley, great access to trails. My boyfriend and I stayed in a heated canvas tent, perfect for chilly nights! Will return in the future!

Great location

Fantastic location and cabins are a great alternative to taking tent from UK. Bed not comfy, room cold despite heater but got better if we left it on all night. Great pizza.

Having no fun with thousands of neighbors

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Yosemite is wonderful.
The tents are jam packed. I could stand between ours and the next and touch the walls. Ours was on a slant with 3 steep steps, the door hung open. We had to schlep our bags at least 100 yes over gravel and uneven rocks. The car had to be completely strpped of any food our scented items. It was a pain.

Decent place to stay right in Yosemite Valley

Posted Oct 4, 2014
The only downside is the tents are really close to each other so it can get noisy. There were about 50 teenagers in the nearby tents... So imagine how noisy it was outside quiet hours (10 - 6).

Fab location, disappointing accommodatiom

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Sort out the deermice issue, replace the tents with something more like a Eurocamp tent, more cheerful
Location: Amazing range of fabulous scenery- from Glacier point, to the Giant Seqoias, and the amazing sheer cliffs. All within easy reach.
The location and price of Curry Village were great and the staff, friendly and helpful. The tent/hut things were disappointing, mainly because of the sense of darkness and dinginess and dirt on the floor. The large poster of the 'deerrmice' about which we had to be aware and because of which we had to avoid us and our stuff touching the floor, because of Hantsavirus, was a bit of a downer and seemed a bit of overkill... However, a good place to stay right in the park.

Accomodation with back to nature feel

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: The dining room has good food at a reasonable price, we were quite surprised. The pizzas good too. The shop is well equiped for numerous supplies.
Cons: The only down side were the tents were hot when we stayed. A fan at least would be useful. Has heating if needed.
Location: Very close to all attractions, shuttle bus stops nearby. Hiking, mule rides, creeks, waterfalls (if right season) Yosemite village. Very scenic.
Curry Village is like "Tent City", once you can find your way around its very easy. It's a fairly busy place so you get to talk to lots of people from around the world. It is well maintained, staff very friendly and helpful. Towels changed daily. Check in is from 5pm if you arrive too late it's hard to find your way around to your tent if it gets dark. An earlier check in would be great.

Great way to camp

Posted Oct 1, 2014
If your looking for luxury then this is not the place but if you are looking for a first class camping experience in the wild out doors then this is the place for you. The tents have a wooden floor gas heater electric light 2 power points for charging your device's with a sprung bed and mattress. Curry village has a basic restaurant pizza shop and well stocked bar with a few shops for basic supplies and merchandise . Yosemite is just the most stunning place on earth if you get the chance to visit don't turn it down
