Not worth the price.Posted Sep 5, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, pool were OK. Location near Yosemite National Park.
Cons: Clean up/maintain grounds. Improve the esthetics of the entire property.
Location: Yosemite National Park in 25 minutes away.
Hotel needs work. Staff and room were OK, but needed. to ask twice to have some issues resolved. The grounds were in rough shape. Remains of a May fire were still visible in September. Outside buildings and grounds badly needed attention. Room was clean. Overall a price of around $75/night would have been more inline.

Convenient location, bad maintainencePosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location of this hotel is very convenient - its close to the south entrance of the park (~20miles away) and has lots of restaurants around it (24hr denny's, starbucks, a couple of pizzerias, grocery store, big5). Now coming to the not-so-good part - our hotel room had weird stains all over the carpet, like someone had dropped wine pretty much all over the carpet. Some of the towels given to us were not properly washed (had some dirt marks on them) and the free breakfast was a joke. The spread did not look fresh, and the breakfast area wasnt clean.

Nothing working, staff doesn't carePosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Cleaning staff try their best, as clean as can be given the conditions.
Cons: - on facilities laundry - working wireless - badly needs renovation (bad smell) - breakfast is very basic - new staff!
Hotel is old and smells like it, fair enough for the price. It is clean, as clean as can be done with a very old wooden hotel. It is advertised to have coin op laundry and internet but neither worked. We were on a road trip and had specifically chosen hotels with internet (needed to work late at night) and laundry (large family, needed to keep clothing clean), but neither worked! When we complained about it, we were told, in a patronising tone, that for internet we could go to Starbucks!

Good price but has had a firePosted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: It was pleasant and staff helpful and price was good.
Cons: Room carpet was very stained.
Location: Lots of fun in Oakhurst and shops nearby
The hotel was good but it has had a fire and so looks kind of run down. They have quite a bit of catching up and cleaning to do on the remaining rooms that they have available. The breakfast was good, room was fairly clean except for the carpet and the staff is young but very helpful and pleasing. Very quiet and the price was good.

Helpful staffPosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: If you expect luxury, do not go to this motel. The rooms are basic but clean. The beds are fine. My room was in a building in the back, quiet.
Cons: I hope that by next year, they will have cleaned up the burned building. It did not affect my stay or the services.
Location: My interest is hiking and backpacking. Lots of hiking and backpacking in the nearby mountains. If interested in fishing (I am not), Bass Lake is clos
I stayed at the motel before the 8 day backpacking trip. I asked for an old towel for the trip. They provided me with one. The batteries in the TV remote were low. Within minutes they replaced them. When I returned 8 days later from backpacking, smelly and dirty, the staff provided me with a cold drink and let me into the room first before I officially checked in. It allowed me to take a shower, shave, and put on clean clothes.

Not as good as it used to bePosted Aug 26, 2013
Cons: Staff attitude & undesirable neighbours
I stayed here 4 years ago and it was great. This year, they've had a fire that has destroyed some of the rooms and the staff seem to have given up, even though there are plenty of rooms remaining. The young women and several men who had the room next to ours played music till 7am which was not great for the kids. This place needs new management.

Good for locationPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was able to book a room less than an hour's drive to Yosemite National Park for a Saturday night during the summer and not pay an arm and a leg. And the place is perfectly adequate in terms of cleanliness and quality for the location.

Great getaway in a hidden townPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although we got there fairly late in the evening, the receptionist was still glad to help us with our reservation and very friendly. The room was clean and organized, and the view was amazing for city folk like us. The breakfast they served at the main building included waffles, cereal, orange/apple juice, coffee, and bagels. It was a great and peaceful place to sleep.
