Spacious

Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: The staff were very accommodating.
Location: We had thought this hotel was closer to Yosemite, but that was our mistake. Otherwise, it was fine.
We were given a two-bedroom apartment in an apartment complex.

Had everything we needed

Posted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: That it was a full sized apartment with a full kitchen.
We were very happy to find this place. We really like having a kitchenette, and this had a full kitchen! It was convenient, very clean, plenty spacious and perfect for what we wanted. If we are ever in Sonora again, it is where we will stay again.

Great appartment in driving distance to Yosemite

Posted Oct 10, 2012
Pros: The size of the appartment was great with 4 of us!
Cons: Pool opening hours
Location: Location great! Lot's to do and Yosimite sill close enough to drive a couple of times there
THis is not a hotel! It is an appartment complex with regular people living there and only a couple of appartments are rented to people on vacation. The location is great. the appartment was great. The furniture, kitchen equipment and internet very good for a family of 4. There was a pool, however the opening hours where too short. Closing at 20:00 is a little early. The laudaryu facilities also closed at 20:00. A little to early too. We often returned from our trips very close to 8 o'clock, so the kids were upset not to be able to go to the pool and I could not wash our sweaty hicking stuff! Otherwise great! We woulld go again!

Clean and comfortable, pretty location, swimming pool available, and staff readily available. Parking a little tight.

the room was so dirty we tried to find another room for the night. when we couldn't we bought pillows from a local store that was open and moved out the next night. we would have purchased sheets, but couldn't find any. the carpet was stained, dead spider on top of the bed...

Good for family with young kids

Posted Sep 27, 2011
Overall I liked having an apartment over a hotel room. The convenience of a kitchen and living room was nice with a young child. The complex was quiet and our apartment backed to trees so the view was pleasant. Two drawbacks. Staff is only readily available between 8am -5pm on weekdays and shorter hours on weekends. This is a major flaw. I had to call a number to get someone to show the apt. at that was at 9pm. I asked for new towels on the second day in the am and upon returning (5pm) the towels were not delivered. No one answered the office line after 4pm Saturday, because the office was closed. The only alternative phone number was a pager system for emergencies. Lack of fresh towels was not an emergency so I did not call. I did not even know how to check out because we left at 10:30 am on Sunday and the office did not open until noon! I just left my key in the kitchen. The other drawback – pool/hot tub hours. Weekdays pool closes at 5 pm, weekends 4 pm! What kind of hours are these? At least keep the pool open till 7 or 8pm. We traveled to the area to visit the sites and expected to cool off in the early evening before dinner. It would have been nice to know pool hours BEFORE telling my child we are going swimming after the long day of hiking in the woods. Pool hours were not noted in the apartment room information. The pool was a condition for choosing this place.

For a last minute deal, this worked out okay

Posted Jul 12, 2011
My wife wanted to see Yosemite at the last minute, so I looked around the area, and this was the closest I could get, and it turned out to be the cheapest. The room was fine, the location was fine, and it was very quiet. A bit far from Yosemite, but I enjoyed the drive.

A dissapointment from start to finish

Posted Mar 23, 2011
The room didnt fit the people: Prior to my arrival, I received a call from the site confirming my booking - a room for 3 people. When I arrived I was informed my room would not accomodate 3 people. The room only slept 2 people even though it was a 2 room apartment, it had no pull out bed or 2nd bed or anything. The people who run the place offered me no solution other than to pay for a bigger room. I agreed to the change simply because I had no choice and needed a room but I also complained to them for a while and showed them my booking email from Expedia/Yahoo. They flatly rejected my reservation email as if it didnt matter at all. I also noted that when they showed me THEIR paperwork, THEY had written quite clearly that "3 people" were staying in the room. So they knew in advance they were putting us in a room that would not work buyt they also ignored that point. The website allows you to choose a room for a number of people that it won't support and the location does very little to accomodate you once you arrive. They seem to care solely about extracting extra money from you. 2nd Problem - The site is a pit It's run down and old. The hot water didn't work in the shower, the walls are paper thin and the the after-hours maintenance number didnt work, nobody replied until 10am. I asked for a refund - totally ignored. Basically - it's a flow house that's mores a stopping ground for the homeless than a real inn. Avoid it - it's a waste of time and money.

Will not return to Quail Hollow

Posted Feb 25, 2011
The overall impression when we arrived was this is like a condo setting with trees. The accommodations seemed nice for the price. About a 5 minute drive town. The unit was roomy like an apartment. BUT the bed was not comfortable and the neighbors next to us were VERY LOUD and played LOUD TV MURDER MYSTERY from 9PM to 11PM. We complained the next day signing out to the staff. Also when we arrived, someone was parked on our assigned parking spot so we had to go back to the desk to get a reassigned spot.
