Nice hotel in idyllic settingPosted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Great setting. Good room. Lovely grounds.
Cons: Two of the restaurants were closed and you had to wait for the two that were open.
Tenaya is a perfectly nice hotel in an idyllic setting. It's about 45-50 minutes' drive to Yosemite Village (although only 5 minutes to Mariposa Grove), but the drive is beautiful so we didn't find that to be a problem. We found Tenaya to be significantly better than the accommodation options in the Park for a much more affordable price. I'd certainly stay there if I went back to Yosemite.

Great time near yosemitePosted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: A lot of activities for the family. Food was soso
Cons: Rooms could use an update, indoor pool was not very enjoyable. Needed better ventilation, smell of chlorine was too strong
Location: Far from center of yosemite, but enough activities within the lodge which was good
We had a wonderful time at the lodge, concierge and activities staff are really nice and helpful. We took advantage of archery, horseback riding, ice skating which were all good. Indoor pool seems run down, but other than that it was great. It's exactly an hr. driving distance to the yosemite valley center which was not ideal.

Cottages are wonderful!!Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Location to Yosemite and the rooms were beautiful
Cons: Open the outdoor pool earlier or according to weather. The staff was amazing! Improvement needed when calling the concierge-they lacked information
Loved the cottages and perfect access to the Lodge yet you felt away from the business. Spa was wonderful!! Food great and staff so accommodating!!

Nice hotel close to Yosemite!!!Posted Apr 21, 2014
The hotel is very nice and clean. We spent Easter Weekend there and it was a perfect place to get us in and out of Yosemite. It is about a 10 minute drive to the entrance. They had a lot of activities for the kids. Ice rink, Easter Egg Hunt, and open fire for s'mores which was great for the kids. Although bring your own if you remember. Would definitely come back.

Expensive but may suit people traveling with kidsPosted Apr 21, 2014
Hotel was undergoing construction work at the time we stayed but that wasn't made known in advance. Noise from heavy machinery (Jack hammers and such like) destroyed peaceful breakfast day after day. We didn't feel this was a good value for money.

Spring Break in YosemitePosted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Great location, well maintained. The staff tried hard to make you stay fun and care-free.
Cons: The restaurant service and food could improve - it's 3-star yet expensive for the quality and service.
Location: Mariposa Grove is 10 minutes away, and Yosemite valley proper is an hour drive through the park.
I booked two Deluxe rooms with King beds, both rooms were clean and ready when we arrived at 4PM for check-in. Check-in was quick and efficient. There was friendly and efficient valet parking and luggage service. There were two restaurants in the main building (both served from the same kitchen) and a pizzeria near the cottages on the property, and reasonable hour for room service. The indoor pool was clean and well run - the out door pools were not open yet. The fitness center had a number of stair-masters and treadmills all in good condition, two nautilus type machines, a cable weight gym plus dumb-bell weights (5 to 50 lbs) - in general I'd say small but well maintained. There was introductory archery and rock-climbing on-site, and plenty of running walking trails nearby.

Misleading WebsitePosted Apr 17, 2014
Although it was 75 degrees, the outdoor pool area was closed. We based our stay at this hotel on the beautiful picture of the pool on the website. The seasonal pool closure was not mentioned. We flew all the way from Michigan with our children for this major disappointment. We asked for a discount on our room, but were given breakfast vouchers instead.

Great facilities for family funPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Family focus, facilities, proximity to Yosemite.
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable. Seriously need Queen size as opposed to Full.
Location: Location great as just right outside of Yosemite.
They have a large heated pool inside, ice rink, restaurants, fire pits... all very family focused which was great for us.
